“Somehow Gelson's in WLV really upped their game. They stock many more "healthy" items, as well as the deli featuring more olive and less canola oil in their offerings. They also increased their organic produce! Wifey complains that they don't have yogurt from 100% grass fed cows, so there is obviously room for improvement. But she loves their branded still water, which they ran out of because she bought over 50 bottles! Will be back for more...”
“Prices are good. Packaged items like cereals and pasta are normally less expensive here than elsewhere. The people have always been nice. Easy parking. The downside is that quality control is lacking in one department or another. The fruit and produce can be sketchy. Not always fresh. Not like it takes a huge investigation - you can tell by the bruises. And the problem I had this morning led me to this review. Purchased a quart of half and half. Took it to a work location several miles away. Poured it into fresh coffee and immediately saw it was bad. Checked the date and it expired 8 days earlier. What's crazy is I was going to buy the Knudsen version - and then saw I could save $1 or so by buying the First Street brand (their store brand). I forgot to bring the quart back home with me at the end of the day, but knew if there was one bad quart there would be others, so I stopped in, found another quart that expired 8 days ago and then 2 more that expired yesterday. I brought these up to the cashier to get them out of circulation. Others were getting ready to go bad in a couple days. And these were all First Street brand. I didn't bother checking everything else. The cashier said I could return the bad quart and bring my receipt, which I'll do tomorrow. Guess trying to save $1 cost me more in time. I'll just need to remember to check the expiration dates there in the future. Even though I shouldn't have to.”
“I am a Target-o-holic! This is one of the nicer stores. It is clean inside and out EXCEPT for the women's bathroom which is always really dirty and disgusting so that is why I only gave my review 4 stars. The store selection is good, generally well stocked and easy to find what I am looking for. I was at Target last Sunday and wanted to give a shout out to one of the cashiers. I don't remember her name but it was a unique one. She was a little older, very tall, with super curly blonde hair. It might have been the most pleasant interaction I have ever had at any Target or store. She was very personable but not to the point that it was annoying. She was also efficient and extremely genuine (which seems far and few between in customer service.) Until now, I preferred self checkout at this location since most of the cashiers here will talk your ear off or come across like they hate their job so I try to avoid them at all costs.”
“Beautiful store but poor service. Our cashier we George h was literally tossing our groceries after scanning them. He tossed a pack of chicken and it burst! We pointed it out and he said "well it wasn't me!" . Even the bagger knew it was him. After a brief awkward pause, he then proceeded to raise his voice "WELL JUST GO EXCHANGE IT! WHATS THE BIG DEAL HUH?" That guy is a joke! He was also really rude to the customer before us. She wanted a pack of cigarettes and he slammed it on the scanner. She apologized profusely for being an inconvenience and he just glared at her. Other than checkout, the rest of our visit was very enjoyable. Must've just been poor luck on our end, so I'd consider visiting again as long as George H isn't o the register”
