Ridiculous service. I set up appointment for my dog. The website let me select the time of 1140am. I am in line at that time and waiting as the girl checking people in is taking her time.When it is my turn to check in another girl comes up and says no more people and even acknowledges I was waiting for a while by saying I don't know how long he has been waiting but no more.

Picked up 15 gost shrimp and a box of crickets went home put them in tanks I have had set up for a while now went to the nabors house for 2 hours came back to everything I purchased but 5 crickets were dead every shrimp was dead I have the same 8 in the tank that I had before I purchased the 15 and they are still healthy and alive I alchemated them and everything really disappointed in petco lately i got a leopard gecko a few months ago and it died 2 werks after i purchased my other gecko i got from PetSmart is doing great you all need to keep them animals healthier cuz this is so annoying dout I will be going back to spend or shall i say waist my money there

I have literally bred fish and donated them to this store back in 2018/2019. But after today I will never shop Petco ever again. New staff, new faces, no problem. Contradict your store policy and sell me fish that don't last 2 hours and you can't even give me store credit? just a ho-hum tough luck, manager said no refund. That IS my problem; I drove all the way back to try and make it right. NOPE! Cashier tried to claim the policy is on my receipt. She could not point it out when I asked her to "show me" Her response was- "the manager said" the 30 day policy does not apply to what I purchased. gfy petco

My dog has been going to the groomers for the past 2 years. He went through the petco puppy class and the trainer had recommended that we got him acclimated since he was more on the anxious side. My dog was a regular and went to his monthly grooming apt for 2 years. He is a German shepherd and is anxious, but his previous groomer (Devon) was extremely patient with him. They gave me reports at every apt and informed me he was vocal at first, but settled down after. He had been attacked when he was a puppy and injured his paw, so that area is always sensitive and they would skip the nail trim. His main groomer left petco over the summer, but I didn't think it would be a major concern until recently. My dog became more anxious each time he went, so I always followed up after every apt to ask how he was. There was never a complaint. Even on the grooming report! In November ( his last grooming apt), I received a call that this was the last time they would provide services because they had a difficult time. I got off the phone and quickly went over to pick him up. The first thing I asked was if my dog bit or snapped at anyone. They said no. He was just giving them a hard time and wouldn't let them trim his nails. The groomer mentioned one of the guys (first time seeing him) had to hold him down. I was so upset when I heard this because I could only imagine how scared my dog was. No one has ever had to hold him down, and if they had read their notes, they would have known he was extremely sensitive around his paw area. He has always skipped nail trims due to this. Another groomer chimed in and stated this occurred twice before, and I looked straight at her and said, "that's a lie!" I always always ask how he is after each grooming session and there was never ever a complaint. I was so upset about the lying, lack of communication, and the trauma they put my dog through. It all made sense to me... my dog had been extra anxious about going to the groomers and his previous groomer had left petco. Her name was Devon and she was truly amazing!! If you have an anxious dog... please please do not take them there!

A friend of mine paid for her dogs to get trained and the trainer that was working well for her and her dogs left Petco refused to give her a refund. The manager was mean and rude whenever she talked to them and the main office said that it is up to the manger to give her her money back. Save your money and time and don't go here. I would give them no stars but it won't let me

This store used to be great but now it's a joke. I signed up for a packaged training and since the trainer went on leave my puppy could not start his second training. The store manager refused to give me a refund for the remaining trainings and still won't provide me a date of training. The store manager lacks customer service skills and does not care what the best interest is for you or your pets. I've been waiting just about a month now for some resolution with this and nobody even contacts me back. I feel sorry for the few good workers at the store who have to work under such lousy management. Don't let them take your money too and sign up for training elsewhere!

Purchased an opened fish tank that was supposed to have everything included. The manager assured us that there were no other sealed boxes of the tank in back. The manager verified that the box had everything in it. Got home and set up our new fish tank, it was missing a cable for the lighting. That same manager smiled and said we had to empty and disassemble the entire tank and return it if we wanted the cable. It just so happened that she found another unopened tank in the back. It was easier to buy a replacement cable from Amazon. Well played Petco manager.......

i started there with my kitten who's now 3. pete was and is helpful. i found food at home she didn't want or was left after the neighbor's dog died and they donate the food to shelters they like. they have good references for shelters. everyone there has been kind. can't vouch for any other part of the store.

It was as the first time shopping at Petco. I bought online and picked up in store . The sale said buy 2 get 1 free, however online did not specify ordering instructions. When I called store they would not honor it stating "it was too late" and I ordered wrong . I'm so disappointed that they could not honor it and see it as a simple mistake . I will take my business elsewhere .

This is only based on our experience with Fish we had bought last week (8/22/21). We already had 3 blue Guppies and another bigger fish we got from PetSmart but we wanted a couple pretty colorful ones, which Petsmart didn't have a good variety of, so we decided to go to Petco. They actually had a bunch of colorful fish and decided on two elephant tailed Guppies. We did what we were suppose too waiting about 30 mins to add them in our new tank. I know now I should have added them to a smaller tank and treated for illness. But we added the fish and everything seemed great. They were a great addition and got along right away with the other fish. That night about 10 pm we went to turn the light off a saw one of the new fishes we just got was dead!!! NOT EVEN A DAY but all the other fish were fine!! We took it out and returned it to the store that Tuesday ( 8/24/21) I decide to just get another one and talked to the lady working the fish center who said sometimes fish look fine but are sick. So I took our new fish home and the next day noticed the original fish we first gone had a long white string from his under body. And was swimming on the bottom and getting stuck in the bottom corners head dow, and also hiding all the time. Later in the day after trying to figure out what was going on and what it might be I saw it wa stuck again in the corner but wasn't moving so I went to move it and out came that string which had a parasite which dropped to the gravel. I used suction tool to grab it and ordered medicine. The next couple days we noticed the new fish we just got started swimming weird and wouldn't eat, we didn't see the other fish, figuring it was still just hiding. Until Saturday night when we saw the yellow fish was dead on the gravel. PISSED!!!! We used the net to remove it and had to move our big hiding rock which had the other fish is DEAD TOO but already half gone which means it died days earlier. Took both fish back to Petco and got a refund. The lady asked us if we wanted to get new fish and I said I WOULD NEBER!! WE WENT THROUGH 3 FISH IN 3 DIFFERENT TABKS AND ALL 3 DIED. She then asked if we wanted our water tested and I said we have 4 othe fish in the tank doing just fine still. . SO BEWARE OF BUYING FISH HER. we had three fish from 3 different tanks and all 3 died in less than a week. Now we have one our our original blue Guppies acting sick and not eating and it's heartbreaking. Hoping the medication we ordered gets here soon so we can save it.
