Rams Book Store: Pay the extra fee and have your books delivered to your home. My books have been there for two days and they have yet to distribute them to me because they have not gone through the orders yet. I am in week two of my classes and need my books. I have my proof of purchase and proof of delivery. Why can't they just go to the back and get my package?

A great place to stop in if you want RAMS/VVC related merchandise like shirts, bags, and wall flags to name a few. Also having your books sent here by mail saves you the shipping cost although it does take longer for the book to get to you. Also great if you are looking for a drink or a quick bite to eat.

School supplies like pens, thumb drives and snacks, they have. If you want school spirit wear, ok.If you are looking for school textbooks, it's a wasted trip. They're pushing online ordering with pick-up at the store.Stupid concept thinking you can find your textbooks in the school store. Right?!To make matters even more fun... search your class or teacher for the book's name in the bookstore's website. According to the store site that you're told to use, " No books have been chosen by your teacher for this course yet".So wait till you're in class and get the syllabus, so you can rush around like a crazy person to find the book, & have to copy your chapters in the Library each week until your books come in.Oh yah, way more convenient scouring the internet for the most reasonable priced book and having to wait weeks for it to arrive. Who doesn't love getting behind in class while tracking down the correct version of the professor's chosen book in actual form.Not everyone wants to stare at a computer screen textbook. Some of us like to flip back and forth, make notes, etc...Not like schools get discounts on bulk purchases that could be passed on to students who are paying through the nose to educate themselves. Not like a class specific textbook being available immediately would help students be prepared for their first day of class.Sometimes people are so busy trying to do the next big thing, that they don't stop to think about how Stupid the next big thing could be. Does it help students? Nope?But hey, as long as it's convenient for the college.

So some of the staff is really helpful while others don't really want to be there and they treat you as such. I haven't really had a great experience yet.

Yesterday my eldest daughter needed to purchase a textbook for her dual enrollment college course that just started this past Tuesday. We headed to Victor Valley College RAMS Bookstore. It's a good size bookstore. However, I find their inventory very limited all the time. Most of their shelves are empty. Their online bookstore is even worse... items are out of stock all the time. You have better luck in-store than online IMHO.Staff are friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Prices on textbooks can be expensive. Prices on supplies are average. If they can just improve on keeping inventory in stock, all will be good. Thank you!
