The transmission shop has been there for many many years and the owner Kenny Brown I know is transmission's inside and out. They don't do complete rebuilding at this point they just use a rebuilt transmission from a company that can guarantee it for a long period of time as far as maintenance he's reasonable and very very fast and good

Totally professional. I brought a truck in leaking transmission fluid. Ken figured it out and wasn't going to charge unless I wanted the work done. I'd go back and recommend this shop.

I drove 90 miles to have Brown's transmission repair the transmission on my K3500 4x4. That was 3 years ago and I couldn't be happier today. We have been on multiple long trips and my truck has performed perfectly. I also took my Saturn ion for a service last year. I highly recommend this business for the personal touch and very reasonable rates. A 6 star business!Service: Transmission

Came in because I thought my transmission was failing due to grinding noises, Mr. Brown and his team pointed me in the right direction of a damaged wheel bearing instead, with no charge for the diagnosis. Very honest and fair service, will certainly return here for a routine transmission service. Highly recommend!

Racer and his crew are top notch. Old school, but in all the best ways. Diagnosed and repaired my old van's shifter cable debacle and made some additional adjustments, shifting better than it has in years. Reasonable prices for friendly, efficient service. No BS, just good old-fashioned value and results.

My family owns a 2009 Nissan Murano and besides changing the tires here and there it hasn't given us any problems until the passed 2 weeks. We took it to multiple places and they all said , the dreadful, "New Transmission" is needed. We were completely stressed out and decided to look for someone who could put one in. My wife's coworker recommended Brown's Transmission Repair noting that they have very reasonable prices along with friendly service. So I gave them a call and spoke with a gentleman (I assume it was Mr. Brown) I explained to him the details and he asked me a few questions about the vehicles specific problems. He then instructed me to disconnect the battery for 15 seconds and clean the terminals. He told me it is an odd problem that feels like the tranny is going out but the CPU needs to be reset. I gave it a shot and low and behold the car is running great again! Thank you sooo very much sir for helping us fix our vehicle over the phone! Any other mechanic could have cashed in and duped us for thousands of dollars literally! In this crazy money hungry world it is very nice to know that their are still good honest caring people out there. Thanks again Mr. Brown your business comes highly recommended by our family!

The old man is RUDE as f**** He's very disrespectful on the phone and seems to think that anyone who doesn't know anything about vehicles are STUPID, or at least he treats them as such! Would never recommend this place to anyone! If he doesn't know you personally, don't expect any kind of good customer service!

Ocean Honda said the my transmission was get hot and the fluid was "boiling over" and needed a new transmission for $7,000+. I called Brown's Transmission and the owner talked me off the ledge and encouraged me to bring the car in for evaluation. Drove the car from Honda to Brown's and was immediately greeted by Ralph. I explained the issue to Ralph and he put the car in the lift. Took Ralph maybe three minutes to take off the plastic shield that covers the transmission and a portion of the engine compartment. Ralph brought the shield to me and showed me that there was not leakage under the transmission in the usual areas (front and aft seals I believe) which was absolutely clean but quite a bit of fluid on the drivers side of the shield. Ralph pointed his flashlight in the area of the leakage and with a couple minutes found that I had a loose transmission sensor that allowed fluid to leak. Ralph tightened the sensor and cleaned up the area as beautiful he could do that we could confirm no more leakage. I was only asked to pay $40 for the Honda fluid which was flushed. Wow! Additionally, Ralph left the plastic shield off and asked me to bring the car back in a week or two so that he can confirm the leak was fixed and would reinstall the shield. This shop provided incredible service and I have now sworn off Ocean Honda will now be coming to Brown's Transmission from now on. Incredible owner and Ralph went above and beyond to help me. Thank you Brown's Transmission!

Dropped off my vehicle on a Wednesday to have the transmission serviced and picked it up at closing time on Friday night. My vehicle was backed in and it's nose was facing the exit way. My husband picked up my keys and tried to pay with our debit card but the owner said he'd prefer cash. So it was decided we'd pay the next week when they were open. I drove my vehicle home and exited it. Upon waking past the back of it, I immediately noticed my rear tail light was broken, license plate bent in, and the body around my tail light was pushed in. I knew they were closed so I couldn't do anything about it until they re-opened on Monday. On Saturday morning I got to thinking that I'd drive by and see if anyone was there. They were closed but I could clearly see a piece of red plastic on the ground through their gate. I took a video and pics. The piece matched perfectly to the missing piece on my light. When we contacted the owner on Monday and shared the video & pics, he said it was a leaf ! There were no other "leafs" in the entire driveway AND it matched perfectly to my missing taillight piece. I don't know who did the damage but I KNOW it was done there while being serviced. The owner even insinuated to my husband that I could have done it. I demanded that he review his surveillance video and have not received a response. Rcd estimate of $650 to get my vehicle repaired
