I’ve been going to this center for almost a year now and as a somewhat new person to Kundalini, I had no idea what to expect. With breathe, mantra and movement, the practice has allowed me to increase my happiness, lower my stress levels and maintain a regulated nervous system. I always feel happier when I leave practice. Now, i go as often as 2-3 times a week now.It has been a wonderful place to practice Kundalini yoga. I highly recommend folks check it out.

There are kind people who work here but they are taking an ancient practiced arts of Sikhism and tarnishing it through monetary demands and by naming their leader “guru”.. made me sad.

This place is so special to me. I love the kundalini community and the coming together of collective consciousness. I had such a wonderful experience taking a class led by Gurujas. Real life angel. I vibrate and feel like pink glitter when we're all done. The lessons I learn and mental/physical strength I gain from not just her but all of the teachers is beyond. Nothing compares.

Proceed carefully. Choose with eyes open, heart strong and a mind sharp. The technology of kundalini is profound. The learnings and breakthroughs that are possible are unquestionable. This is not a review of the yogic teachings, practice or philosophy. This is a review of the studio itself. The owner/leader of this particular studio, Guru Jagat, has dogmatic, narrow ideas about what she expects of her students' behavior, choices, and thinking. Deviations are not welcome. As a student and practitioner of of NLP and psychology, I recognize that they use NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and other verbal manipulation to speak to your fears, doubts and an inner need to feel safe to make you feel like you have found THE Answer (to all your problems) at Ra Ma. For instance : 1. Creating Us vs. Them environment: She will actively call out and embarrass people in the audience - shaming them publically - or make fun of people who are not there. Then she praises people who "practice perfectly". This establishes a competitiveness among the students and sets up layers of Us/Them. 2. Fear of Punishment/Consequence: I've heard her and other teachers there tell stories of students who didn't follow their full 40-day or 100-day prescription of a certain kriya and something terrible happens (injury, serious loss even death) - as if it's because they "sinned" or broke away from the mantra and were punished. This is a clever way religions over the eons have controlled people - putting fear in them of disobedience. It's very actively practiced in this studio. 3. Establishing Superiority/Separation: Guru Jagat exudes a cold self-righteousness and disrespectfulness. She regularly arrives up to 20+ minutes late to class then yells at her staff if they are late. On stage, she tells stories to describe her how fabulous her life is and gives little in the way of dharma or wisdom teachings. She clearly has favorites - turning hot and cold depending on who is speaking to her (another psychological trick). Further, Guru Jagat uses her talking time (which can take up the majority of class) for what sounds a lot like the conspiracy theories and Q-Anon rhetoric. Sometimes - especially in the last year or so - it sounds jumbled. Nonsensical. These are the "tranmissions" she claims to be sharing. As I have witnessed and heard from others, if you try to question what she has said on stage, she will turn on you (shaming and ostracization is the result). There are pure, powerful, kind teachers out there. This is not a place where they live.

There is no place like RA MA! RA MA has the most amazing teachers, energy and community. I have met some of the coolest, creative and inspiring people here and at RA MA NY. This is not just a yoga class. If you are open to major growth, expansion, and to up-level in life, relationships, health, business, etc - take a class here and have an experience of that. There are so many incredible offerings through RA MA and RA MA TV and they are available to all - levels don’t matter here! So very grateful for RA MA.

I've taken a few classes there... enjoyed classes with Tej but not with Guru Jagad...who came through as a narcissist and an air head... studio is nice... but won't be taking classes there anymore... also beware that the teachers there follow the teachings of fake yoga teacher Yogi Bhajan who has been proven a sexual predator.

Rama Institute and their online model Rama TV have been a constant support to me through hard times the past couple of years. I appreciate that they don't subscribe to the fear narrative while using facts, common sense and experts to express their views on sensitive topics. There are several different teachers that bring completely different energies to their classes. I've read all of the reviews on this page, and this is mine. My opinion of this place is that if you want to experience Kundalini Yoga on any level, they provide the tools to help you. I don't look for the negative in people so all of the personality attacks on here seem irrelevant to the main purpose which is delivering a space for people to turn within to overcome, and move through low energy situations energetically. The work I have done is within myself to overcome, and I appreciate that I have a place (online) to find so many classes to guide me through at any time.

:) One of the best yoga studios ever! Friendly and caring community. Very good virtual lessons with their Ra MA TV website. The studio has a stylish energy and there are cool plants in the building.Several very smart, friendly, knowledgable, and nice teachers. Harmanjot is one of the best.Additionally occasionally, they offer very very wonderful Kabbalah lessons with a genius spiritual leader named Rabbi Karen, she has a graduate degree pertaining to Kabbalah Mysticism (it could be wonderful if they schedule Rabbi Karen more regularly ).This wonderful yoga studio is imbued with a wonderful spirit of caring and agape. I strongly recommend this wonderful yoga studio and community.

I walked into a kundalini class when I was 17 (10 years ago in Chicago) & never looked back! RA MA is a great location to practice, & is missing a lot of the religious dogma you might find in other studios. It really is a secular or non-denominational practice at heart, just designed to make you smarter, nicer, & more awake! It's a really wholesome & cozy space, don't mind all the bad reviews in my opinion, it can be really misunderstood. It's hard to get an authentic yoga class in the West, except for at places like these. I love all trainings (they're my favorite) with Tej & Harijiwan especially. The senior teachers who actually studied with Yogi Bhajan are unparalleled & they've really made everything possible. One tip I have is to bring your own mat & try to walk with a friend to the parking lot in back late at night, it can get dicey on the street! P.S. check out the sweet boutique too, they always have really delicious chocolates & drinks!

I have taken Guru Jugats classes before to some success, but recently have been blocked from her groups and pages for inquiring about her silencing of abuse victims.

I love Rama I have been practicing Kundalini Yoga for 5 years and it has changed me (For the better) the studio has classes that can be accessed online during this pandemic. All of the teachers are dedicated here. They teach the original teachings as brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan early in the 60's. The teachings are powerful!

I love RA MA, I am so grateful that I found kundalini yoga taught by Guru Jagat. Every crew member of Ra Ma demonstrate overtime that they have professional and diplomatic manners. I start visiting classes at RA MA since 2019 and I always feel and see consistent radiant energy from this place. More importantly, Guru Jagat classes are so profound and applicable for any self psychology issues. I become much better at managing my self doubts through kundalini yoga technologies. Building this critical skills on someone is actually only come from the masters for sure. These bad reviewers, I guess they are just reacting for their irrationality, their desires for change that are maybe never translated in to concrete action of creating something profound.
