As a veteran, they made it such a huge hassle and delay checking in/signing up just to use the restroom. Have to agree with others that these 3rd party veteran help services seem like they're helping themselves more to government funding/charitable donations than actually helping veterans hence why they hassle you to check in/sign up just to use the restroom and don't care if you piss your pants. You're better off reaching out direct to city or government services and potential employers since they get tax credit for hiring veterans.

Just another “veteran service” group that promises to “not be like the rest” and actually respond and help veterans— but in reality doesn’t. met them at a veteran event and they gave us so much hope and excitement. ZERO responses and it’s been months of trying to get assistance. thanks a lot.

They dont help. They have a huge expensive glass building and very little assistance to veterans. They take so much more for themselves from the donations and resources given to them to help others and they give almost nothing to the people this organization is paid to help.

Tierney Center was quick to provide for my emergency assistance and did not expect it that fast! It shows minus negative Debbie downer attitude other organizations have you get results. All others organizations services it’s like why are you ppl working here? the veterans who walk in the door didn’t go to these places to hear employees be negative. Also the pantry is well stocked with good food you can make a meal plus jugs of Orgain protein powder mini grocery.

They hosted Stand Down for vets . The burgers were good . I won a $40 dollar cash card. There were a lot of organizations there . It was extremely hot though and the vets had limited chairs and no shade. There needs to be a tent for vets to relax next time. We were sitting on the ground. The port - a potty's were clean and there was a station with soap to wash our hands . U.S. Vets Station and Families Forward had some rude workers that didn't even want to be there. If you don't want to even say hi or smile at vets then don't come next time.

This place is a fraud and always has been. Most Veterans know to stay away. They pay the director and office staff using charitable donations intended for veterans. When will the DA and the VA investigate this place? Asking for a veteran.

I am a female combat veteran and made an appointment for help with employment. I arrived ready to create a resume and they said they had no appointment for me, could not find the person that I spoke with. My confidence in them to find me a job lessened the longer I sat there waiting and the more people that came out asking me the question, why are you here? Maybe it’s because I’m a female? I don’t know, but I wouldn’t recommend a place for veterans that can even manage an appointment. Very disappointed.

This is a great resource for all Veterans and their dependents for housing assistance, financial services, employment opportunities and educational training. With the help of Goodwill of Orange County and generous donations from the Tierney Family this location was able to be created for Veterans. Thank you!!

Let me start off by saying I am a Marine Corps Veteran and this place would have been of great help to me when I first got of the military, but I didn't find out about this place until recently. This place is filled with amazing staff, most of which are Veterans as well who just want to help Veterans and their families. They provide assistance with housing, behavioral health, VA Benefits, employment assistance and funding for emergency situations. This place should be the first stop for every Veteran in Orange County to make sure they are maximizing their benefits and for any Veteran who needs any type of assistance. I highly recommend this place to any and all Veterans!

mark and alex are correct.. do not hesitate all veterans male and female to go to the tierney website and believe me its staffed by vets and the center can help you with so much more than you would expect unfortunatly all my fellow us military vets when uncle sam discharges us we get a dd214 but nothing else in what is available for us veterans and our families in the civilian life and as myself and most other vets dont find out aboutt 20 to 30 years is we have the vamc health administration providing a whole lot of services for us but no one tells us anything and dont let us know we should register at tibor rubin west la wilshire vamc or loma linda vamc. for health care we deserve and earned 1 the official va website is www.va.gov 2. the official website will tell you everything the government knows and has for us . it is a shame the va doesn't communicate with us and make it clear to us when we are discharge that the website even exists much less anything else as well i want to make you aware of a new state law that allows us vets to adopt an animal from a public animal shelter in california and the usual adoption fee is over 100 dollars and most of us vets can't afford that so up until 2021 we could not have a rescue animal and vice versa which is a crime in my eyes but it's good now all you need to do is show staff at the shelter your va card or ca state id dl and that adoption fee is no more and for all my fellow veterans who need help and understanding in trying to get a service animal for yourself and feel overwhelmed on how to do it here are two not for profit orginizatiojns specifically to serve only veterans and guide us in the process and give us alot of support and kindness. pawsforpatriots.org petsforvets.org finally in case you are not aware of it the united way operates under contract to uncle sam a amazing health and human resource center and it serves as well as the authorized 3 digit phone system to inform americans of violent weather such as hurricane katrina as well as the place to go after natural disasters etc for one stop help to put lives back together it's called. 211 please make it a point to yestrrday go.to www.211.org www.211ca.org www.211la. or o.c. org it is something our govt should tell us about in public service messages on t.v radio computer etc yet just like us military vets no one officially has told americans 211 is for us from the fed govts mouth. and united way does not have the budget to do psas. so. im doing it by word of mouth and the internet so please tell family friends coworkers etc about 211.org. as well this 211 operates in all 50 states d.c puerto rico as well as canada. so let your military buddies in othrer parts of the country or puerto rico as well as extended family etc god bless you all military veterans i served us army 1976 to 1980. we are warriors be we marines army navy air force coast guard national guard we served our country proudly and with honor. its time for civilians to give back to us in providing all these services as well as uncle sam please dont procrastinate we and our family are owed all this for our sacrifices we are warriors we are proud

I was very pleased with the service I received from the Tierney Center. Matthew was the rep I worked with, you couldn't say enough about the service he provided. Very professional, there should be more like him.

Seems like another operation where they pay all these people to work there but help very few Veterans. If you notice, all of the positive reviews on here are from non-veterans etc. And the negative ones are from Veterans, do not let this place fool you if your a veteran in need.

Please take the word "Veteran" out of your name or change it to"Veteran Disservice Center. Benefiting off the sacrifices of our Military Veterans is not only an insult it is extremely disrespectful. Thank You.
