“Always great fruit at excellent prices! This year was rough. A cooler than normal start to summer which delayed the opening date. That plus the drought definitely produced smaller melons . Most were great but there were a few not so great. Hot hot weather creates yummy melons. Please check this place out each season. It starts about July 4th & ends beginning to mid September.”

“Decent enough store. The checker was helpful and friendly. The store was clean and we'll organized. Prices were good on a lot of stuff and not so good on others. There is an aisle where everything is $1. Variety of items is good. A little bit of everything. All in all I recommend checking it out and I am positive you will be glad you did. Plenty of parking including handicapped.”

“They have great weekly deals, and you are going to be able to find brand products for good price in average. The downside is that most of their stores need some kinda of maintenance or upgrades.”

“I've been shopping at Pop's since it opened about 18 years ago! So there's been a lot of changes, lol. Luckily the prices haven't gone up to much. You can still find good bargains. If you've never been, it is a warehouse style open floor planSimilar to a Costco. Items come in bulk, bundled and individual. The stock is always changing so if you find something you like buy as much as you can because it may not be there next week. Besides food, they also have household, cleaning, seasonal, and restaurant supplies. It's a interesting place , you should check it out. Definitely follow them on Facebook for announcements about new stock and events they have.”

“One of the nicest Smart & final stores I've been in. I've been going to Smart & final since I lived in LA in 1990 back when they were only a warehouse store for groceries. The Turlock store is upscale and has some warehouse big box items but good prices on their local 1st Street brands and name brands.”

“They always have a great selection and everyone is always very friendly and helpfulNever disappointed when I go inIt is something of a Turlock experience as one might expect- lots of shady people staring blankly and being altogether creepy, but that's everywhere you go in this town.”

“By a happy accident, I found Neesan market while ISO a Japanese market. I love food, ALL food, and so decided to check it out. Neesan market is immaculately clean and deliciousness beckons from every shelf. Their specialties are middle-eastern foods. I saw pistachio nougat candies that reminded me of Italian torrone, minus the wafer, so I bought a bag of them. They were even better than torrones! These had a lovely rose flavor in addition to the freshness of the nougat and pistachios. The Neesan's spice section was impressive, and there was also a produce section. If tomatoes can be gorgeous, that is what these tomatoes were. I'll return to this market again!”

“Makes getting Wic food: fruits, beans, cereal and milk etc easy. Just scan card and the workers let ya know what to get and have choices to choose from. Only flaw would be usually the workers are not friendly, the three times I’ve been here so far.”

“Ordered there 33$ family carnitas meal. More than enough for my family of 4. It was so delicious. The meat was tender and juicy. They give you plenty of tortillas an the rice an beans we're so authentic. My whole fam loves it. We also got flautas. They had lettuce guac onions cilantro crema on top. But mine were fried a bit to much for me. Or maybe they were made ahead of time so they were not as fresh. I will be back. An I will try again. On a previous occasion we got 2 beef burritos just the regular one added sour cream. they were so good the asada was tender an flavorful. Staff was nice an friendly an helped me order. They have such a good menu I will have to go back and try some other things!”

“Save Mart on Lander Ave. has the largest selection of seafood in town. They are fresh and some are wild: the best! I have combed all the other markets and their selections are extremely small, not fresh and they are old in plastic wrapped containers. SM Lander has the best selection in town. They have an immense varieties from east coast to west coast. It depends on the time and the seasons. They have "farm" and "wild". The seafood are reasonably priced. They are mixed price. I drive across town for their fish. They have their own seafood counter. It is much larger than Raley's, Safeway's, etc. You can point and tell the clerk which fish you want. The services I have received, have been delightful. The seafood counter is located in the back of the store. It's the old fashioned counter where you talk to the clerk about the fish and he/she helps you. They weigh it and ask you if you want to delete or add to the amount on scale. If you enjoy cooking seafood in Turlock, this is the place to get your seafood. It's clean and you can view the variety behind the big glass wall.”
