“My Rite aide at 651 N. Golden State Boulevard is great. Someone at the front of the store always greets me with a warm Hello. Then at the pharmacy I am again greeted warmly, and usually there is between 0 and 3 customers waiting in line and it goes very quickly. Then I shop, and check out. Someone always helps me out to my car with my heavy items (bottled water) . Like I said in the beginning, they are great and so cheerful. They always put the heavy items (bottled water) in My cart for me too.”

“This Chevron /Extra mile was a convenient stopover for us as we travelled the 99 corridor. I won't get too excited about a gas station and especially a Chevron, but I will say that from pump to checkstand and back into the car, the whole process was seamless. The pumps were efficient and faster than most other stations. The store was well-stocked with goods and the friendly gentlemen at the counter were happy to help me with my complicated lottery order. The gas at any Chevron is more pricey overall, apparently because of the "Techron", but it was worth it because of the convenience of this location one block from the freeway. Added bonus? We won $10 in scratchers. Woohoo!”

“I had a late night stop on my way from Yosemite National Park to San Francisco. The gas station was next to two 24-hour eateries Jack in the Box and Denny’s, which attracted more motorists than the other stations. It was well lit, and made me feel safer. The price was also much lower (15-20% lower) than Bay Area’s prices, so I just had to fill up. As always, leave some traveling $ in some remote local places you visit!! Cheers!”

“I was recently in a car accident and can't get around as good as I used too. This is a smaller gas station with a very neat and well stocked convenience store. Any other store I visit in Turlock I have problems getting around the store. Not at this store the miles wide and clean and very well-stocked. It is a very clean with a very professional staff that is courteous and we'll go out of the way to meet your every need. My only complaint would be that there isn't more businesses like this one in Turlock. I highly recommend the next time you need to fill up your vehicle and grab a ice cold beverage stop by and get blessed by the outstanding service they provide.”

“I have frequented greater than a dozen different .99 Cent stores if not more and to date this store consistently stocks some of the freshest produce, dairy, bread, frozen and refrigerated foods. And now a topic or item that is near and dear to my heart that I would be paying at least three to four dollars more for if I were shopping not at a 99 Cent store. Soy milk. Chocolate soy milk too. Soy milks of many varieties including SoySlender. Super delicious, nutritious and affordable when purchased here. Most for .99 cents each. And they began stocking fresh bananas too. 2 liter bottles of Mountain Dew, Diet and regular Pepsi, and other name brand sodas for .99 cents plus CRV. They are friendly here as well and helpful; the employees that is. The world has changed much since I was younger and so having said that I will say that there are some homeless people that frequent this area and to me have been harmless so maybe be kind and let's not judge this location based on variables. The shelves are of average height I'd say about 5 feet tall or so as I noted some pictures and reviews referencing super tall shelving. They've changed this now. Oh and today I see they are selling Cotton Candy machines new in a box for $14.99 each. How's that for diversity? I've gotten myself some great quality scarves and hats here too; beanies in particular. “Today I stopped at an AmPm down the street from my shop. Asked if someone could fill my large tank with propane. The cashier said yes. I waited for a long time and no attempt was made to call someone at all. I remembered seeing Golden State Food and Gas on yelp. YES! I'm glad I drove a little bit farther ! No hassle! A man came out right away ! I just barely got out of my truck. My tank was large enough that I wouldn't be able to put it back into the bed. It's just too heavy. This man didn't even hesitate. Put the hose up on the side of my tool boxes, jumped up and connected it to my tank. He asked me to flip the on switch, and I gladly did. $2.79 per gallon ! What a deal ! I'll definitely be going back”

It's such an informal transaction that it seems weird to give someone a low grade for taking your money and sending you off on your way. Lol”

“99% of the time when I stop at this AMPM all I get is gasoline. I usually fill up my vehicle. The gas station is fairly easy to get in and out of, being on the corner and having entrances/exits on both sides. There is usually not much of a wait in line, maybe 1 person in line. This gas station has competitive prices, one of the lowest prices in town. They also have a good selection of snacks, soda, coffee, cigarettes and beer.”

“I need to apologize...Mother’s Day, very busy station as expected. The pump #5 wouldn’t take my credit card and directed me to go inside to pay where I was told I had to give a specific dollar amount. I asked if I didn’t use it all, (it wasn’t my vehicle), would the actual amount be deducted or would I have to come back in. The gentleman behind the counter had a very heavy accent and I have some hearing loss... and there were a lot of people talking around me. I asked three times to be sure before leaving thinking I didn’t have to come back in.Stressed, I didn’t look at the amount on the pump or get a receipt...and then I see the entire sixty withdrawn from my account. I guess I was just surprised that little car took that much...I phoned Arco and left a message about this still thinking I was overcharged. I just spoke with my friend with me, the owner of the car, and she did say it stopped pumping at sixty.Anyway, I do apologize...”
