I can't really recommend this place if you're not a contractor. You're better off going to Reno for half off their prices. There may not be much customer service at the big box stores, but there is zero here. I waited to post a review after my first few visits in case, but after multiple visits now for work and personal use, I have yet to have a good experience here. I will not be returning, I'll just stick with ACE and Home Depot.

It's TTL. We can't do what we do without them!Great people working there, they almost become family for us carpenters. Amber is the sweetest!Those damn yard dogs are a different story! SLACKERS! ? I'm kidding, they're cool guys, even when they drop stuff on the truck and give us that "CM radio" -inside joke.You know who you are!

Seems like nobody is interested in taking orders or retuning emails with estimates. Front counter is rude and unhelpful and same with the buyers in back. Lack of attention and lack of customer service from Truckee and Reno! To many other great options. At least act like you want to sell lumber, but I will be continuing to go else where as I have for the past 7years.

As a construction company getting quotes and the correct material can be a challenge. Truckee lumber's staff is always kind and knowledgeable. If they don't have the answer they are great about doing the research and getting back to us in a timely manner. We truly appreciate having them as our go to supplier in the Tahoe/ Truckee region. The cashier was a lovely, kind, and professional. I wish I could say the same for the man who was helping me inside the store with the wood choice. He rude, dismissive, and arrogant. I would not recommend their business.

Great lumberyard. It's more setup for commercial than consumer trade. But if you're a handy DIYer this place is the bomb. Friendly service. Great inventory.

5 months late on a delivery, tons of broken promises to call me back, the time for delivery pushed back every time I called, reps handling my case no longer working there, and now in this crappy weather I can't even finish my project for another few weeks if in lucky enough for good weather. The least I could expect was a call that my materials were finally delivered. DONT WORRY LUCKILY MY CLIENT HAS A CAMERA IN YHE DRIVEWAY SO I KNOW MY DELIVERY MADE IT. Never again.

It has been 3 weeks and l still did not receive an email with lumber prices. I called 3 times, emailed twice and they keep saying they will get back to me.I called them first to shop from a local business even though their prices are higher for similar lumbers in other shops.It would help if l was told they are not interested in selling me lumber. I wasted my time.

The person at the counter was more interested in his watch than in helping; eventually his colleague stepped in. The helpers in the yard were awesome, though, and the wood was as expected.

We were greeted with a friendly and knowledgeable staff member. We were looking for Trex deck products. They have a full line with all of the samples to make sure the color will be correct. Highly recommend!
