Stone’s Country Tire is the best tire shop in Truckee, bar none. I will go nowhere else in the future.
Whether you need new tires (I will be having my Pirelli snow tires done here this winter! Super psyched!) or… need an emergency repair…
My girlfriend/partner and I become stuck in a serious situation in the truckee area (out of our control and unrelated to tires) that pushed our limits to the breaking point, We had a punctured tire simultaneously with no time or bandwidth to deal with.
The amazing guys at Stone’s Country Tires selflessly repaired the tire (before they were even open, with zero $ charge) and had us on our way in less than 15 minutes!
It may be hard to imagine how a tire repair could be game changing, but when it coincides with a significant life event, it very definitely can be.
Stone’s Country Tire in Truckee proved that good people do exist.

I brought my car in because it had a nail in it. The waiting room was spacious and comfortable. There were areas to sit and charge your phone. In addition a nice outdoor picnic bench. It was no more than 20 mins before the job was done and they removed then plugged my tire for free. Not many places like that anymore.

Stone Country Tires is AMAZING!! We are traveling from pennsylvania across country with a fifth wheel camper. Blew a tire on the camper about 29 miles before Reno, nevada. Changed to the spare, continued on I80 into Truckee, CA. Coming down the mountain on I80 a car waved at us that we blew a tire, pull over and what do you know, It was the spare!! Unhook the camper get both tires loaded, call Stone Country Tire . Gentleman answering says “we can help you out if we got there by closing”. We make it half an hour before they close. Got us taken care of immediately, such courteous employees . I highly recommend Stones for anyone needing tire service.. Thank you so much

My family went to Northstar to ski in April and our car got a flat tire which almost ruined our trip. When I arrived the shop and it was 12:00 PM, the owner immediately dropped off her lunch and checked my car. Less than 10 mins, my flat tire was fixed and we can continue our journey. Big thanks to this responsive and supportive store in truckee!!!

Been coming here for years, This is the only Tire Shop you should use if you’re anywhere in the Lake Tahoe basin or Truckee. They are always willing to help with any situation whether it’s new tires, a flat tire, low air, your tires you need to put it up on the lift to check something underneath I would give this place 25 stars if I could, I highly recommend this shop for all tire and maintenance needs.

After popping a snow tire I was told from multiple places that I would need to replace all my tires. Not Stones. They explained that they would order a new tire and have it shaved down to match the rest of my tires. This is just 1 small example of how the team at Stones is a customer focused dream team, always helpful, super knowledgeable, and the kindest staff ever. Love this business and cannot recommend enough.
