This store is closed permanently. As is the Rite-Aid on Thousand Oaks Blvd at Westlake Blvd. Prescriptions have been transferred to local CVS stores.

Dimitri gets five stars. He works his butt off. Very personable and friendly. He's scooping ice cream then he's out shagging carts. Best employee ever

I asked the man behind the counter in Right Aid if their pharmacy was closed. A very rude, grey haired man with glasses told me, "Yes, they are. And if you had been here earlier instead of sitting on your couch..." I told him that he is an idiot, that I'd been driving to pharmacies for two hours, not sitting on my couch. Then I walked out. He shouted at me, "Why?" several times as I left. His attitude may be why he is working behind a counter in a drug store; no offence to the other hardworking staff members who are not like this guy. If someone told me he was missing his daily drug "fix" and that is why he was so rude, I'd believe it. I had just spent two hours driving from Newbury Park to Moorpark from Thousand Oaks, trying to find my brand of prescription medication at four different pharmacy's. I can't wait for them to order since it might not arrive in time before I run out this Wednesday. This man works at the Right Aid on Avienda De Los Arboles in Thousand Oaks. This occured Sunday evening at 6:15 pm. I won't be going back there. The pharmacy at this store is good and very kind. This man, working the front counter in this store, is very rude and caused a paying customer with expensive, four hundred dollar prescription to walk out and take my business, else where. I couldn't believe him. I won't go back there for anything.

I watched for 15 minutes as the only checker helped a man fill out a rain check while they discussed the very complex minutia that it takes to fill out a rain check at Rite Aid. (I saw the form, Rain Checks exist and they exist in triplicate) 20 minutes pass, line has built accordingly behind me . Got to the checker. Guy left his rain check on the counter. Checker felt it necessary to chase that customer into the parking lot to give them a rain check, but not a moment to call out to open a 2nd register. So, Rite Aid. Maybe more than one checker at a time.

This place has a very large variety of products. There is however a very small staff but that is not a problem because it is rarely ever crowded.

Worst pharmacy ever! I called this morning to renew my prescription. I was told it would be ready in one hour. I arrived 5 hours later and it wasn't ready. On top of having to wait I was given a different manufacturer medication because mine was back ordered. I wasn't told this earlier today. And it was $20.00 more.

Rite Aid would be fine if it didn't come with a price to your health. The odor wreaks badly even upon opening the door or even standing 20 feet away if the door is opened! The whole place stinks of sweet smelling chemical. Clean up your act and I'll write a better review.

I have been a paying customer of this particular rite aid for many many years. Yesterday I came into the store & asked a guy who works there for help finding 2 items. I don't remember his name. He's a fat guy, with white/grayish hair & beard, and glasses. I'm not sure but I think he has an Italian accent. Anyways, he was extremely rude toward me & acting strange while unhelpingly attempting to show me around the store!!! He made me feel very uncomfortable the whole time. After we couldn't find what I was looking for, I thanked him & tried to continue shopping by myself. He then said to me extremely rudely, "ok, I want you to leave my store now!" While pointing at the direction of the door. Mind you, I as in the last aisle in the back of the store. I talked to Dimitri the manager, who did nothing about it, except make this rude & strange employee leave me alone so I could continue shopping in peace. I have never in my life been treated so rudely while shopping at a store. He made me feel very uncomfortable & uneasy in his presence the entire time. It was the worst, most pathetic & terrible display of employee unprofessionalism I have ever seen or been subjected to. If I were to ever treat someone the way he treated me at my store, I would be fired on the spot & rightly so. I am an American citizen, this happened to me in my own hometown, I am an honest, full time, hard worker, I'm a taxpayer, and I pay for the things I want with my hard-earned $. I never ever steal! Another incident I would like to report that occured another time to my mother when she was shopping there, at the register, by the same guy is that after shopping she also needed to return some lipstick. He was very rude & acted strange about it. He's been strange toward me at the register before too. So, I went there today. Spoke with the manager. Talked about what happened. Look, I'm a fair guy. I don't want Herman to get fired, I just think that the store manager needs to correct the bad behavior, so that he can be a better & happier employee for their store/company. But he needs to learn how to treat people who are paying customers with dignity & respect.

This is a great location that has gotten a lot better since I moved here 3 years ago. I stop by all the time for random things. Today I went in to get a humidifier, and the employees were incredibly helpful with a price discrepancy. It may not be the newest store (as others have mentioned) but I feel that the employees have changed and it is a better environment than it used to be.

I've been coming here my whole life. My mom wanted to buy lighters but because she was with Me "under 21 years of age" (Herman) refused to sell my mother lighters while she was purchasing a candle. Then my mother asked if she could come back in line to buy the lighters and (Herman) (unfriendly checker) said my mother couldn't buy lighters even if she reentered the line.(Herman) said " No I will not sell you lighters even if you leave and come back" Customers behind us were urging (Herman) to just sell my mother the lighters so we requested for a manager. (Michelle) was the manager at the time and she sold us the lighters in a friendly manner. Most checkers here are friendly but (Herman) should be avoided.

I have been coming to this Rite Aid for some time, so I figured it was time to leave a review. As other reviews have mentioned, this location is quite outdated, but I still find it well maintained and clean in general. Parking can be an issue especially on weekends. On weekdays, especially at night, there are plenty of spaces. Customer service varies by employee; in my experiences so far, it has been decent overall. No matter what day or time I come in, there is typically a long line; this is usually due to a lack of employees. I have never been to the pharmacy here, so I can't comment on it. In general, prices are about what you expect at other locations. They offer a nice variety of items including seasonal merchandise. Try to take advantage of the sales especially if you are a Rite Aid rewards member. Overall, this is an average Rite Aid location, but nothing really stands out.
