I’ve never gotten the best service at this big five but the Karen at the front won’t greet you if she doesn’t like how you look. The Karen in the back won’t help you if she thinks you’re not going to buy anything. She will fallow you around with her back turned to you and if you ask for help she gives attitude. The strange part is that the when nice looking white folks walked in were greeted and helped. Strange way to run a business. Not to mention they don’t price match. Stupid way to run a businesses.

Shopping at Big 5 today got me all jazzed up for Christmas , with a special thanks to Jorge. He helped me find ALL of the perfect gifts I needed. There is a great variety of goodies to pick from. Far and away the WORST sporting good store I have ever been to. They are constantly out of stock of anything you really need, the store is cluttered, ugly and extremely poorly organized, and the employees have no idea what the hell they were doing. Avoid this place at all costs. I only go there if I have a need for something that can't be found anywhere else. Most likely it can't be found at the big five in Thousand Oaks either. This place sucks. Places like this are why Jeff Bezos can afford to go into space.

Sales associate, Misty, was not friendly at all. I've been to other big 5's and asked about discounts for sports and they pull out a barcode. My son is in AYSO and soccer season is starting so I know they have discounts for the local organizations. This one said "No...we don't have any here." BS! She said only if you get an email. So I looked at my emails and I happened to have one that said 10% off, but when I opened it the website didn't direct you to any barcodes. So no discount because I wasn't able to find a barcode on my email. Manager could have bypassed that and manually entered the discount. I'll be purchasing elsewhere and returning what I bought at this location. My husband is a retail store manager and there is ALWAYS a way to accommodate a customer within reasonable means. It's the principal!
