Let me start off by saying, I have received pretty good service shopping at this Safeway location, however, I needed to write this as the service was outrageous. Shopping at 5:20am on Monday, November 29th, I approached a cashier whose light was on, but he was not standing next to the register, but next to the light pole. I said, "excuse me. are you open?" No answer. I moved closer and said again, "excuse me, are you open?" He looked at me and said, " if the light is on and I'm standing here, then its open." I let his rudeness go by saying nothing. Then as he was scanning my items, he lifted a gift card that I was purchasing and said nothing. Now, I'm starting to become irritated. I asked him if he had a question? He then said, "how much?" I said $65.00. As I purchase gift cards quite frequently, all of the other cash register tellers ALWAYS ask me how much would I like to apply to the card. I was highly irritated by now, so I told him, "when people come into this store, they should expect good customer service. If you don't like your job and cannot provide good customer service then why don't you find another job where you don't interact with people?'" He began mumbling something about how we are all people behind his mask, but I could not hear the rest. After I received my purchase that he bagged, I proceeded to leave and stopped by the Customer Service desk as I wanted to bring his behavior to the attention of a manager. I did not see anyone around and decided to leave until I hear him talking to the next customer and laughing while shaking his head. I knew it was about me because the customer asked, "what's her problem," and he said, " she's crazy." As a person who has been in a managerial position, this employee's conduct, his name is either Valerian or Velarian, was so egregious, he needs further training. When a person who spends their hard-earned money at Safeway, exceptional customer service should be automatic. Last comment, the three ladies in the floral area are wonderful! I'm always greeted with a smile and they are ready to be of assistance. Do better Safeway!

Avoid the Pharmacy in this Safeway location if you can.If you have lots of time to spare and do not get hassled by rude customer service, then visit the pharmacy here.Just returned from a visit - I had scheduled booster shots appointments for my mom and myself. We booked appointments 2 weeks in advance.We arrived 2 minutes before the appt. time and my mom was attended to 10 minutes after the scheduled appt. time. I was not allowed to accompany my mom inside a big empty room (for translating purposes). The pharmacist was seemingly rude (I think both the ladies did not understand each other due to language issues) which turned out to be a poor experience for my mom.When it was my turn, the pharmacist asked me to wait as she had to prepare my booster shot. After 12 minutes of waiting (beyond appointment time), I was told that I am one day short of completing 6 months (since 2nd dosage) and I cannot get my booster shot today !Now I need to go thru the process again.Overall poor experience and the pharmacist did not make it any better, in fact made the experience more worse.

Safeway sells expired milk. Safeway 785 E El Camino Sunnyvale Sells expired milk: I got a pack of organic low fat chocolate milk from that store and found out later they were expired in June this year! How could they sell them after they are expired for two months , and they are for kids !

This five star review is for Marisol in the floral department, she was kind and helpful and arranged a beautiful bouquet for me that I was giving as a gift. The customer service team at first had trouble locating an employee that worked in the floral department and they left me waiting for a while so I would give them three stars for not having someone readily available but at least finding someone eventually even though they said they couldn't help me at first.

I got some flowers for Mother's Day for my wife. Marisol helped with a very beautiful arrangement she made . I wanted something different then just typical roses. She mixed it up and made it something special and nice . Thx Marisol , that floral arrangement got me some good points with my wife.

I recently went to this Safeway because Sergio is now there. Sergio is such wonderful, customer service forward, friendly and concientious person. This store is much larger, and I don't know where everything is now, but so far so good. Also of note, I took my friend into this Safeway so that she could buy flowers for her Mom. There was not a premade bunch that my friend wanted, however Marisol was working in the floral department and we walked through picking flowers so she could make us a custom bunch. They turned out beautifully. I think that they look better than the last flowers I got from a Florist. She eagerly helped us, with a great attitude and you can tell that she is both very talented with flowers and she enjoys it. If you want great customer service and great flowers, visit this Safeway and have Marisol make you an arrangement and Sergio check out your groceries. You will not be disappointed. I had shopped at the store on Bernardo since it's opening, but now that Sergio is gone, that store is a mess. The manager never leaves his office, his friend who replaced Sergio is rude and treats the other employees poorly including yelling at them in front of customers. No way that they are getting 1 more dollar of my money!!!

I didn't used to shop at this Safeway, that changed when Sergio transferred. It is now the only one I will shop at. Sergio has the best customer service skills . He truly cares about his job and customers. Your company needs more employees like Sergio.

We are new to this location mainly due to Sergio who recently transferred to this store. This store is a little farther from our house, but well worth it. Sergio goes out of his way to deliver the highest quality of customer service possible. Still learning the layout of the store, but so far, no regrets switching locations. It's a lovely store.

Going for years. Super service and knowledgeable staff. They go out of their way to provide info and help. All three pharmacists are top class. Highly recommend.

This place used to be better 25 years ago. They run out of paper bags. I've got molded cake, bad crab. And they appear to be racist, towards afro-americans I've seen the treatment towards others in the store. I find this to be quite appalling in this day and age of time. Especially if you are spending good money. Management needs to be improved and advise on what is happening in their store. Do yourself a favor and Shop where you are appreciated. Charged twice for one item..check your receipt good. They run out of things all the time. Stocking is pathetic as well as customer service.

I came here to buy flowers for my friend who just gave birth. After going to two other flower shops (one who had minimal flowers in stock and the other who was too busy to make me a bouquet at that moment) I "sucked it up" and went to Safeway. Right away the floral manager greeted me. She was so efficient walking me around showing me my options. None of the prearranged arrangements fit what I was looking for, so I ended up going around and pulling out a bunch of different flowers and the manager so kindly arrange them for me and a beautiful arrangement. She was also so conscientious knowledgeable and observant and noticed that there were some peppercorns in one of the bouquets I picked out and she notified me that they could cause allergies and gave me the option of including them or not. It's the small details that are truly appreciated.

This safety is Hella bad and Hella racist. I shop there once every two weeks to buy groceries formula and sometimes alcohol. I know lotta the cashiers by name in the front desk by name but every time I seem to come in it seems like they have a problem when I'm asking for a rain check or I'm asking if they have a product. I have checked out alcohol many times before I am 30 years old African-American but this one time that I was looking to get alcohol Jimmy the night person in charge was totally racist and says that since I don't look over 21 I cannot use my ID I was so appalled please don't waste your money here

I put in a pick up order and it was never filled and my card was charged. I was left hanging for hours after getting a text that said " apologies, your pickup order is running behind schedule but we'll notify you as soon as it's ready" Two hours later it still was not filled and was getting close to the cut off time for pick orders. I had to get a refund, which meant calling customer service. I will never use Safeway online ordering every again. The online support was very helpful and refunded my order.

This location has horrid customer service. The last time I was in, the sourdough bread on the shelf to sell had expired 4 days earlier.
