So it's been 5 days since my pinky nail cracked off, tonight my index nail popped right off! Barely two weeks since my manicure and my left hand is a mess (I'm right handed!). I'm truly disappointed in the lack of quality, I thought hard gel could survive office work.

I have to say I'm giving them a 4/5 I'm not quite sure why aside from ultimately my nails look nice and soda my daughters. We went slightly later in the day on a Sunday. They had us sit down right away. We waited maybe a half hour if not more to get our nails done. When we did, we noticed they had substantially fewer options for their less expensive. Which are still expensive by the way. $75 dollars per hard gel as opposed to. Paying $30 more for the better color options is expensive expensive I don't care how you spin it. so they took a very long time they manicures are very expensive. I then tipped both of the manicurist $15 each. Bringing our manicures to $90 each. I would expect my nails to look perfect however what I'm going to say is they look nice after I went and had them touch them up, when I went to touch them up, I called previously made sure it was a good time to come in. They told me come in. I then had to wait 30 minutes and was told I would have to wait an additional 15 at that point when I began to get up and walk came over to fix my manicure. At that time, she proceeded to tell me that the hard gel was not warped however, it was severely warped on my thumb, and the color was not even there was also a bubble on my pinky finger, which she also told me she didn't see it took her less than 10 minutes to repair my nails, essentially stuff about me for that 10 minutes unfortunately I did not take before and after pictures so I can't show you I will not be going back. However, like I said at the end of the day, our nails look nice. I don't think they look $90 nice but they do look nice.

I was desperate for a pedicure. My toenails were hurting. Big Improvement. Mod Nails is clean and sanitary. I happened to see a neighbor when I was there. There is no shortage of nail salons in Studio City. Mod Nails is one of the best.

I was going to this place for the last 2 years. And over the 2 years I've seen special treatment to celebs and yt. But I tried to do overlook it in hopes it was just me being sensitive. But different situations have occurred. I am not going to go into every scenario but I will give an example. The salon was crowded and I came in for a mani and pedi. So after I've been waiting for 20minutes I was asked to do only 1 service or come back. Because I had plans that evening I said I will just do the pedi and come back another day for my mani. So after I agreed to only have 1 service. Other customers came in and they were giving the option to have more than 1 service. So I said why would you ask me to only get 1 service if you are taking more customers that are having multiple services. They really couldn't explain and I didn't want to hear it. So I decided that I would never return again.

Overpriced for a similar quality you would get anywhere else. Got them done yesterday and they are already lifting around the edges. I don't have time to go back which is why I went to get them done yesterday. Red around the edges for 3 of the nails from being cut and having alcohol and lemon rubbed in them even a day later

This place is by far my favourite nail spot in LA, ill say this “you get what u pay for” it may be expensive however the attention to detail and how long they last is unbeatable!
I get gel X and usually within like 10 days - 2 weeks at least one or more is falling off. I go to Hannah at Mod and they last 4-6 weeks, never fall off! They also have a huge selection of colors. Highly recommend!

I can't talk about other technicians, but Lee is the best. I have been to many nail technicians all over, and I mean many, and by far, Lee is the best. I have been a loyal and generous client for many years, and often, my drive time to get there is no less than an hour as I live at the beach. Hannah always makes sure to say hello. OK, Aside from that, I have not been back to Mod Nails for the past few months. Undoubtedly, one nail falls off of me after every new set I have put on. I get that this can happen, but not every time. I have very high invoices, usually nothing less than $300. to $700.00, which I am OK with as you get what you pay for; however, don't show me a significant invoice and charge $10.00 here and $5.00 there; it's insulting. Also, I wouldn't say I like it when the technicians yell at each other. Other than my comments, they do great work. Will I go back? I am not sure. Please remember that this is just one person's feelings about some things and should not stop you from trying Mod Nails. Ask for Lee.

This is my go-to nail salon and it's exceptional! I always go to Holly for my gel manicures and she does an immaculate job. She has a meticulous eye and is a perfectionist, so my nails always look PERFECT. The space is huge and clean and lovely to sit in. I highly recommend coming here and seeing Holly for your nails. She's the best!

Horrible place. Don't bother making an appointment because they don't honor appointment times. Waited over 30 min past my appointment time. Very disorganized. The space is also very poorly kept and dirty. They were out of wraps so I had to stick my hand in a bowl of acetone to soak off gels.

Wow! Do yourself a favor and just go here! I can say I am honestly taken back by Hannah, the manager of MOD nails. She personally reached out to me, had read my review, and found the email I had sent. She really made the situation correct. We had a lovey conversation on the phone where she listed to my concerns and made me feel valued. I agreed to come back to see her and she truly impressed me. (That's very hard to do) There was a difference vibe in the salon and I already felt welcomed and comfortable. Hannah personally took care of me and my nails that night, I say that because not only did she do a beautiful job on my nails but we also had a nice chat. She was able to do the exact shape and design I wanted. Her attention to detail was outstanding and she really went above and beyond. I have a new love for this adorable salon and am looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Hannah for amazing customer service, beautiful nails, and just being you!

I have had multiple bad experiences here, but kept returning bc they initially weren't SO bad that I wouldn't come back again, just sub-par to other places that charge less and do a far better job. But since we live nearby and it's just practical to come when I'm in a pinch, I caved and came back. BIG MISTAKE. I got my gel mani two days ago, and the tips are already chipping. The technician (who was so incredibly rude Nd dismissive) also cut my cuticles way too much when I specifically asked her not to, and I now have an infection. I would say that this business is a cash cow with no soul. Zero desire to be the best, just the fast in and out bad mani-pedi vibe. I'm excited to go back to BUTTER Nails, where Shirley gives hands-down the best mani ever.

Recommended by a friend of a friend...and Yelp! BUT...Manicure Saturday, multiple chips by Tuesday. Would not do a "deluxe" pedicure again, though the technician was pleasant. There was a visible coat of dust on the chair next to me & stains on all of the towels used. I enjoyed being there with my friend, being taken straight away (I'd made appointments, but it didn't seem to matter), and not having to get up to choose my color, but even paying the check was awkward. Bummer for nearly $100 & on the search again for a good go to place....

I love this nail shop. They are like family. I have been going here for six years. I live the attention to detail, the extremely large selection of colors, finishes and gems/jewels. Lots of sparkling things to be had but remember the bling gets expensive. Well worth it. I smile every time I look at my nails.
