Stay away from the crocodile smile Mike & his goons. Gave him almost 4 grand to replace my transfer case, he tried to patch mine, took my money and said you're good to go and never replaced my transfer case. I broke down on my first road trip. AWESOME work Mike. He's the typical "dirt bag" mechanic that everyone knows they're out there. See YOU in court pal. Better business bureau has my back. I hope your business goes bankrupt.

Rebuilt my tranny and blamed everyone else for it not working, yells at customers and threatens to not complete the job and have you pick it up without fixing the problems. Then charges you more money and forces you to pay cash. Problem not corrected and when I called to tell him he wouldn't stand behind his warranty and wanted to charge more money to fix it. Done going back to this guy. Never again!!

This guy tried to over charge me. As a female, so disappointed.. I work on my own cars if I can do the work. Talk to different mechanics so I get enough info to get the job fixed right. This guy is supposed to specialize in transmissions but charged me more than a mechanic who specializes in motors, who would take my transmission out and send to a transmission shop to get fixed and then put it back in the cary.. my mechanic told me he would cost more than a transmission shop and the transmission shop was more than the "not transmission specialist."

Since I was furious when I wrote my first review and my story was all over the place thought I'd update my review after how many years. If it were an option I'd give this place -5 STARS. First, this place still blows like Dae-Dae and his whistle from Friday. Do I still hold a middle finger out my window when I pass by after what happen? Every time. I simply point my family and friends to better shops when they bring this one up. Next, don't believe in the given ETA it'll just be pushed back (a month for me) speaking on my behalf all I heard was "I'll have it done by end of next week" but it's just another lie. Call backs aren't their thing either so don't even bother. Anyway after the whole wait I finally get my car back everything seemed fine until the next day. I was at my bank started the car shifted into reverse and from there it stayed that way couldn't move it out of gear or anything. So I called up Baldy aka Mike and told him everything. AAA insurance towed the car back to the shop. To take matters into his own hands baldy tells me that he'll fire the employee who rebuilt my transmission. Not only did I pay $1200+ for the rebuild but after the whole incident I had to pay another $900 in labor for the guys mistake. Not to mention that also took awhile as well. Firing the employee and still make the customer (me) pay for labor is just absurd. Not only is it his fault, it's yours too Mike you hired him. D*** d**** ***I RECOMMEND RESPECT AUTO WORKS in Modesto for everything***

Been having problems with my 2014 Ford Fiesta. Was told by guy from nationwide auto chain that it was my transmission. Took it to another guy who said same so i had him install a rebuild. $2,300. Drove it and problem persisted. Was told by mechanic "that's the way these cars are". On a hunch i took it to Mike who actually works on transmissions. Went for a test drive. He told me, "it's not your trans, it's your engine". I got a tune up and the car runs like a top. Mike and his crew can be trusted especially if you are like me and have little to no mechanical knowledge. Thanks, Mike. You've restored my faith in people.
