I recently had my hair cut by Bryan. 10/10. I signed up and paid online for an appointment two days later, process was seamless. Bryan was so friendly and helpful and cut a bit off at a time so that I could assess at each length to see if I wanted to go shorter. Even with that process, he made quick work and it felt like I was in and out in no time. The atmosphere was bright and open, as well. I'll 100% be going back to this salon.

I got scammed at this salon and do not recommend going, or if you do proceed cautiously. On their website it clearly states that a woman's haircut is $60, and they pre charged my card before I went so I thought it was the full price. The stylist Nelli washed, cut, and blow-dried my hair, and then at the end she said the price was $150. I was shocked. I told her that the price advertised on the website was $60, and pulled it up and showed it to her. At this point the manager came over and was extremely rude and in my face saying things like I was wrong and the info was clearly stated etc when it was not. When I made the reservation I did not receive an email from the salon explaining that the $60 was actually just a deposit and subject to change, and no one explained that to me when I arrived at the salon either. Every hair cut I've ever had in my life included a wash, cut, and blow dry in the price of a "Woman's Cut." Other salons I've been to in LA have been priced around $85 for this, so I thought I was getting a deal with $60. That's the whole reason I chose this salon. In the end Nelli charged me $120 instead of the $150, but I still felt really ripped off because that was double what I thought I was going to be spending. The hair cut was great, but the customer service experience was awful. I left feeling upset and disrespected. I will not be back and will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone. I just checked their website and they already raised the prices, it now says haircuts are $70 which still sounds like a deal, but be warned, it's not. If you go be sure to ask what the total price will be, don't assume things are included like at other salons, otherwise they may try to charge you way more than you are expecting.

I needed a haircut in a hurry and wasn't able to go to my regular stylist, so I looked up some reviews and ended up at Serenity.
The process of booking and paying beforehand was nice - it kept me on time to my appointment.
I brought in a picture of what I wanted and it's what I got. I was not upsold on anything - I wasn't asked for *anything* at the appointment (as I'd already paid online).
My hair was already clean so I didn't get a shampoo, but for the style haircut I wanted, they did flat iron it - which was nice because it meant the style was the right length/cut. I wasn't charged for this.
The salon was clean and quiet (some soft music on). I didn't wait even a minute before I sat down in the chair. It took less than an hour total. I had a great experience and got a great cut! I would recommend this salon to anyone, for sure.

I've been coming to Bryan ever since moving to this area several years ago. I'm no spring chicken and have had thousands of haircuts over the years. I have to say Bryan's cuts (and color) have been the best I've ever gotten, and his price is quite reasonable as well, especially considering his skill. I referred a family member who has had problems with even very expensive haircuts, and they have been extremely happy with Bryan's haircuts!!

As other reviews say, very easy to schedule with them, even last minute. The hair cut was good, better layering and blending than my last haircut in another state. One star off because I asked for a hair cut and was charged $80 when I expected $50 per the sign out front/prices online.
I didn’t question the cost, so that part is slightly my fault. During the cut, she asked and I said air dry was fine, I definitely did not ask for a blow out when scheduling or in person. She said she would blow dry the front to make sure the framing was okay and then blow dried the rest saying “it’s halfway dry anyways, also might as well make it look nice”. While I kind of nodded in agreement, I didn’t expect the additional cost.

Nelli did my hair. She spent hours putting foil. After washing my hair from removing the bleach. My roots had zig zag and blotches of bleach. I freaked out. She told me it was normal and she's been doing this for 10 years. If she's been doing hair for 10 years a mistake that bad shouldn't have happened. I don't believe she's been doing hair for 10 years. It seemed like she practiced on my hair. She also tried to blame me because the bleach leaked. How is that my fault? I've been getting my hair done for so many years. I've never had anyone blame me for their messed up work. She tried to cover it up with dying my roots with dark brown. She didn't even blend roots or do a root smudge. She just colored my roots to color up her what she messed up. The salon refused to fix my hair. I've explained to them how the blotches were showing again. The color from my roots that she put faded. I do NOT recommend this salon. I was so desperate to get my hair fixed. Another hair stylist found so many mistakes. She had to do a color correction and fix the blotches which was all over my hair especially in the root area. Please save yourself time and money! Do not waste your time with this salon. You're welcome. Since I am not able to reply to his comment. Just to be clear, I DID NOT POST ANYTHING ON IG. He took the video. The owner is fraud. He is trying to make it seem like I loved my hair. He is putting words in my mouth. He DOESNT even know what my IG account is. I WILL NOT CONTINUE TO AGREE BUT MY POINT IS PROVEN: I have never allowed any outsiders follow me on IG. They sent me a request and I have never accepted their request. I never posted any videos that they took of me. Your business is fraud and bullshit! I am not scared of you. Go ahead and report me for stating the truth and facts. I'll sue you. I don't post fake pictures and I have proof the last time I got my hair done prior to fixing my hair was with Nelli. I get that you're upset because you're the business owner but you're in the wrong. All you have to do is acknowledge your employee fucked up my hair which you claimed she's the best. Show me her cosmetology license. Let's see if she truly has 10 years of experience with hair. Btw I never asked to get my hair fixed for free. I was addressing them how Nelli didn't do my hair right. That's all.

Loved the service and care they showed! Brian took me at the end of the day without an appointment and made sure that I had safe and close parking! Alisa was warm and professional. My hair color and style turned out beautifully. She knew exactly what I wanted and it came out so much better than I expected. And, of course, the Ventura Blvd location was perfect for dinner and some shopping afterward. Happy Customer!!

First of all who charges for a blow dry when you are paying for a haircut? And if you are charging $70 extra why would you wait to surprise them at the end with the bill? 2nd of all why do you not properly count it an even length and leave blunt choppy edges like you!d get at a hair school or cheap salon? If I didn't already pay out $170 for this crappy cut I'd be getting it fixed already somewhere else but I can't afford to yet. Also, I requested long layers but this result is not how long layers have looked in the past. The point of layers is to help give it more body but this was done so poorly it just hangs there. Unfortunately my favorite stylist had a baby and has taken time off so I am having to try out new stylists. This salon is definitely getting crossed off my list.

Was desperate in need of Brazilian blowout, called last minute and they were able to see me, very clean , friendly staff, affordable price, private parking, I was late on my appointment, they had a great team work to fit me in, the owner was helping other stylists to be on time and help clients not to waste their time
