Alexis at Dej Salon was absolutely amazing! It was by far the best color treatment I have ever had done and I have very curly hair. I am so happy I found someone who understands curly hair and who spends the time to talk you through your options at a consultation. Cannot recommend Alexis enough!Services: Hairstyling

I’ve been going to Robert since 2007…I’ve followed him to any salon he goes to, he’s THAT good. 16 years later, I love that I can go in, sit down, and I don’t even have to tell him what I want, he just knows how to cut my hair so that it not only looks fab when I leave, but also grows out beautifully. Love DEJ and all their staff.

This salon pushes unnecessary hair treatments just to charge you higher fees. Poor management. Hair color disaster with Juliette, and if you speak up the true colors come out. Unprofessional, unpleasant, and immature. Parking is also a disaster. Note to Don: This is the right salon. Juliette Z worked there. she recently left your salon. Her photo is on your website as part of your team. Just further proof of poor and now dishonest management.

Don always found anyone over the age of 22 repulsive. 25 was pushing it. He has talent but his real gift was to hire people who made his business work. He did make my hair look good. After15 years I went for a haircut for my birthday but would he give me a deal or or a free haircut? Oops. I was almost 45 y-o then. Hag alert. Don is sexist & agist with deep abandonment issues but now he's getting older too. Wonder if he has changed.

So I really did not want to write this for the longest time. I made every attempt to call and speak with the owner, the stylist, and given countless chances for this salon to make it right with me but they continue to not take any responsibility. Not only that, but the front desk people continue to lie that the owner will call and make amends and pay me a partial refund but that never happened. So Dej, you forced my hand. I have no choice but to warn the curly girls with wavy texture NOT TO COME TO THIS SALON. And if any future patron to this salon has any issue, be warned that THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING to help you and WILL LIE over and over again that they plan to make amends but won't (this salon apparently moved but that doesn't justify ignoring a patron who has attempted to speak with you for 2 months). So from the beginning. I was recommended to go to this salon by a friend (another fellow curly girl). Now she has a different texture of curls than mine. Her hair is coily curls whereas mine is wavy curls. I have had a previous "curly cut" before and it hasn't been perfect but manageable. With my hair however, it is thick but wavy/curly so it is a bit difficult to shape. I was recc to work with Jason. He had told me he had spent many years of experience studying how to do the curly cut from deva curl. I am a model parttime and I was really looking forward to getting it shaped in a proper way. And when he first started cutting, it did start to look good. But the longer he spent cutting (this was several hours on), the more the shape was not turning out right to my curly texture, which I advocated. He kept telling me to wait and also dyed my hair and I will give him this, the color turned out very nice. The total for this whole thing was 220 . Towards the end, I was honestly shocked with the cut. All the sides of my curls were gone. Instead the sides were spikey and frayed. The bottom barely curled. The shape looked like a triangle (take a look at the photos below). I am not saying the cut itself was wrong for maybe someone with a coily texture, but for my hair it clearly was wrong. Because of this cut, I have lost jobs. I had to spend another 105 dollars (which was the cost of the cut) getting the layers fixed. The hair stylist I went to in the Bay Area had no choice but to straighten my hair so he could fix the layers created and he with 40 years of experience agreed that the sides were completely ruined and that it would take at least 4 cuts to get it fixed. In the meantime of this, I called the salon to let them know the situation. At first, they seemed willing to assist me. The person I spoke to (I believe her name started with a J) told me that I need to first speak to the hairstylist themselves in order to get a partial refund which she agreed I deserved given how much I am now going to need to spend to get it fixed and how upset I was. So I did that. I texted the stylist and requested to speak to him. A week and a half went by and no response. I once again called the salon. They apparently had to coerce him to call me. When he finally did call, he told me he never got my messages and apparently it was the first time he heard me needing to speak to him (don't understand how that is the case). We spoke at length and throughout the conversation kept using very gaslighting language (i.e I have never been satisfied with cuts before - which was twisting my words. I told him while he cut my hair that the last time it was cut it was okay but not great. Or that it needs time to "grow into it" and it's been two months now and I STILL have to keep it in a bun). He even ADMITTED finally that he cut the sides too short and that he could tell I wasn't happy with his cut. And when I showed him the photos you see below he told me I still look like a babe.......But take a look and see how my hair looked like before. He made an offer to me that he would give me back as a partial refund 45 dollars. Out of 220 dollars. He did not offer to fix it himself but have a BARBER at the sa

They recently moved locations to Rue Salon. Unimpressed with the new location. The stations seemed disorganized and second floor was stuffy. Plus no hot water upstairs. AND, prices were raised 30%. Disappointed, Dej Salon.

Alexis did an amazing job. I was told it would be $175 and when I saw $225 - well I can't pay that much with being disabled. Maybe if I highlight just a few and trim for $175.

A friend made a referral for me to see his friend Miguel and I am so glad I listened. Miguel listened to my needs and explained his techniques and what he needed to do to give me what I want. It was a long process but it is hard work being a girl. However, I loved the final product. His prices are reasonable and he is worth every penny. Thank you Miguel!

I started coming to Miguel and started my journey of going from black box dye to blonde and it's been a long road but I couldn't ask for anyone better than Miguel !! My last appointment he made my hair dreams come true !! The perfect blonde !! I just can't express my gratitude!! My hair has never been healthier which says a lot being blonde now. He is literally who you need to go to, if you were looking for a sign this is it !! Ask for Miguel he will make it clear why it didn't work out with any other hair dresser.
