Wonderful apples!!!There is no comparison between fresh picked apples and apples in the store that have spent time in cold storage. Try one at Hales and you'll understand! This is a beautiful farm stand right on the Gravenstein Highway 116.Apples are arranged from sweet to tart. Get a sample to taste the difference between the many varieties.Beautiful squash and pumpkins this time of year, too.Pay with cash or check.

I love buying apples from Dave Hale. He loves his apples and can introduce you to an apple you might not have experienced before. I buy apples and juice from him regularly throughout the season. He introduced me to Ashmead's Kernel and it ruined me for eating apples. As soon as he tells me they're ready, I buy as many as he will sell me and fill up my fridge. I also love his Gravenstein, Cortland, Wickson, and Pink Lady.

Thank you to the Hale family for the delicious apples and juice over the years. It’s always a wonderful experience to visit while selecting which variety of apples to purchase . My favorite is the Gravenstein though. I look forward to being back next year. Take care.

* Unfortunately I have to change my review. The staff is kind, great selection, but the prices are way too expensive now. They changed how they price the pumpkins and for 8 pumpkins it was $88 dollars. Old review: Layed back farm with lots of unique pumpkins and gourds. Good prices and a kind staff

We found the best and most interesting selection of apples and pumpkins at Hale's Apple Farm! The owners and staff were really helpful and knowledgeable- and we learned that if we had come in September we would have been able to try even more unusual and sought-after apple varieties- so we are putting it on our calendar now to visit in September AND October 2023! And we'll be sure to bring plenty of cash or our checkbook- no cards here. Our visit here was a real highlight of our autumn day-trip to Sonoma Co. from the East Bay.

If you are interested in fresh, locally grown apples, there is no better way them to go straight to an orchard during harvest season. Support a family seem by buying and trying different cultivars of apples and seek which one you like the best for that season (every year is different, every apple is different). Have your own family fruit tasting! The staff is very friendly and they have apple cider and value added goodies. I love the "Seconds" bins where you can buy cosmetically imperfect fruit for a fraction of the price which is actually more healthy because insect pressure and stress increases the nutrition of what you're eating. A plants's stress responses initiates an increase in antioxidant compounds prior to harvest, the study shows. The "ugly fruit" are the perfect looking ones that are less healthy for those hungry microbes in your gut. Minus a star simply because I'd live to see a higher diversity of cultivars.

5 stars for being one of the very few surviving producers of Gravensteins. They have other varieties as well and prices are reasonable

So happy that we found this farm! We typically buy 100+ lbs every year at the Gravenstein Apple Fair and were very disappointed that there was only one farm represented this year. We drove past Hale's on our way in, so we decided to go back there. Their apples are beautiful! Looks like we found our new favorite farm to support!
