We love their mushrooms. Their King Oyster Mushrooms are featured in one of the entrees at our restaurant. I had the pleasure of getting a behind the scenes tour of their growing facility ... and saw how the mushrooms are cultivated. Very cool.

If you're a mycomaniac then this is the place you want to be on Fridays between one and two. They sell three pound bags of their gourmet mushrooms grown on site for $25-$35/bag depending on the variety. I have seen king trumpet, lion's mane, clamshell (beech), oyster and maitake. Availability is posted on their Facebook page usually the day before. On the plus side, you get amazing and super fresh gourmet mushrooms at a very fair price. On the negative side, hours are very limited and they no longer have assortment bags so you get three pounds of one type. They sometimes sell out before closing time.

The stars are for the availability of the Mushrooms on Fridays. The Mushrooms are wonderful. I look forward to the friday 1-3pm sales. After a few phone calls to the office, seems that no one really knows if the friday sales will happen. Was just told by a gentleman that actually answered the phone, that they will probably not have the Friday sales this week and they discouraged phone calls asking about it. Difficult to plan for a dinner party on Saturday and you want to include the Mycopia mushrooms.It's a great service for Mycopia to sell their mushrooms to the locals. Very few businesses do much for the locals. Hopeful that they will continue to do them every Friday.

Recently did the open house and tour, really fun and interesting to see the growing process. Super high quality exotic mushrooms are mostly for wholesale but also sold to the public on Fridays. Get the maitake!
