“I use this Walgreens for my mother who lives nearby. This is the only Pharmacy where you can call and actually have someone answer the phone in the pharmacy but also help you. They also recently sent us a text telling me that my mother is eligible for another Covid shot. I have found all the employees that work here friendly and willing to help. This is not the case at all Pharmacies. I recommend this store highly.”

“I have always had such great service at this pharmacy. They have a really good web site that you can set up appointments for vaccinations. I set my mother up to get a covid shot in the Monterey area. She recently lost her vaccination card and I called the pharmacy to make sure they would help her. They looked her up on the computer and I gave them the vaccination dates and they says no problem. They answer the phones and give excellent customer service. I highly recommend this location for all your pharmacy needs.”

“I was traveling from Washington DC area to Carmel and was ill and needed flu medicines and cold remedies some candies to recover and when I walked into this store they couldn’t have been more helpful It was like walking into your favorite Neighborhood pharmacy I got some newspapers talked about the local sports Felt better already Great service and knowledgeable”

“Central Avenue Pharmacy is one of the best pharmacies on the Monterey Bay. They hold themselves to a very high professional standard, and consistently exceed your expectations. Additionally, they always have multiple employees available to problem solve any and every issue. Whether your insurance, M.D. or an issue regarding the stock of a medication, they always find a way to make sure you have your RX.Personally, as somebody who recently moved to Salinas after living on the MB for over 20 years; I drive to PG several times per month because of the quality of service.I'd highly recommend CAP to anybody dealing with poor and careless corp.pharmacy's typical and unacceptable inability to provide excellent customer care.”
“We started shopping at Lucky when Highway 1 was being repaired and as a result it was difficult to reach the Safeway store. We have found the Lucky store a better choice than Safeway and continue to shop their on a regular basis. It has gotten even better now that it has remolded. So much so we rarely shop at Safeway. And that is only to find items not available at Lucky, some frozen items. We especially enjoy the dedicated staff, especially the checkers, Hilda, Julie and Tracy. They are always very friendly and happy to see you. Also found their meat department is better than Safeway. I especially like the Lucky fresh soups and enjoy them for lunch. I would have given them 5 stars but their choice of soups in questionable, rarely have the soups I enjoy most and the deli is not as good as Safeway's deli...”
“Love this Costco. Lines seem to be moving pretty fast every time. There isn't usually a line to use the bathroom like there is in LA. Food court on point. They usually have eggs and paper towels which is cool because other locations run out pretty often.”
“I just want to to give a shout to store employee Hector. I went their today, he was very pleasant, helpful and he was being a cashier and helping customers with self checkout when needed. “I went to the store on November 29, 2023 I had some prescriptions filled, and I was confused by the Teleprompter, but when I finally talked to a real person, they explained that three of the items were over-the-counter I don’t like teleprompters, but I really found the service of the people who worked there above and beyond when I got to the store to pick up my prescriptions, the pharmacist was very helpful and making sure I put in my insurance card so I was charged less money. Additionally, he helped me locate the items that were over-the-counter items, the experience of this pharmacy was really really nice. People were very helpful and very concerned the store was clean. I think this is my favorite CVS on the peninsula now we’re lucky to have it.”

“I have such a soft spot for drugstores, sundries, etc. We happened to be here at the Crossroads place and figured I'd pop in for eyeshadow, of all things. I've always found they have a better selection of things and more variety than their competitors. I don't understand why am the closures of CVS. But this location fit the bill--I bought a Revlon tattoo shadow; the service is about what you'd expect. The store I found to be unusually large and was forced to walk through more of a warehouse feel, but CVS is one of those places that has pretty much everything, e.g. though I didn't intend to buy them, I also walked out with eye drops and band aids!”

“I haven't seen this store since my parents stopped here a few times when I was ten years old. They didn't like the high prices and shopped in the Santa Cruz CVS on the mall after that. Inflation has changed a lot of the price differences, but not all of them. Who would pay more than 15 dollars for a notebook? This is still one of the best CVS stores in the Monterey area and I think it was open 24 hours a year ago instead of the Lighthouse Ave. location. It's large and has more items in stock and no long lines or freaky characters like you might find afternoons at the South Salinas location. My line was only 2 or 3 customers.”

“We were out of town when a family member became ill on a Monday after business hours. He was able to have a telemedicine visit with a doctor who sent a prescription to this pharmacy late in the evening. Within 30 minutes the pharmacy checked insurance coverage, filled it, and got approval for CoVid at-home tests the doctor requested he take before beginning the meds. The pharmacist was extremely helpful, kind, and efficient. I was impressed with the entire store as well—seemed very clean and well-stocked.”

“CVS is a great store so long as you download the app and clip coupons before visiting. They have great coupons and deals for Care members, and if you pay 5 a month to be in the club you get 10 a month in free spend, which is awesome. You also get credits for filling prescriptions on your Care membership, which compounds the savings! Some staff could be friendlier but I've never had a real issue. And the day after a holiday all themed items are half off or better, which rocks my socks!”
