Willowside cut, smoked and wrapped 2 of our hogs. We are extremely pleased. The bacon had an awesome smoke flavor and just the right salt! We had one of the smoked hams the other night, so yummy. Thank you everyone at Willowside for the perfect experience!

Coming back from the coast on Guerneville road and just out of nowhere decided to stop at Willowside Meats, just to take a look.
Man-O-Man what a treat it is to walk into an old school butcher like Willowside! Everything tempted me but I had limited space in my cooler and I wasn't going to drive to Napa with unrefrigerated meat. The one thing I couldn't walk away from was the fresh pork loin, it was big and had a nice thick fat cap on it, it's so nice to see butchers leave the fat on larger cuts..and for that matter all cuts of meat! I cut a 4.5 pound end off the lion, put it in a wet cure for 10 days, let it air dry in the fridge for a day then smoked it at 240f until the inside got to 145f
Well, what I have here is Black Forest Ham....it's Amazing! And it all started at Willowside Meats!
Well...I went back and got a big fat pork belly...that's right Pilgrim, after a quick brine in just the right stuff, I smoked it! Now, I've got what I call bacon...Ummmm....Good! And it all started at Willowside Meats! ☆☆☆☆☆

They have a lot of different types of sausages including alligator. It’s one of my favorites from them. They also have Wagyu two different types. They’re super good I recommend them. They’re very affordable too.

What an incredible gem Willowside Meats is. A friend found out we were going to Santa Rosa for a soccer game and he said YOU MUST make time to visit Willowside! You walk inside to the most beautiful enclosed multideck fridges of both fresh and frozen meat. With lots of different pre-marinade options.They cut meat fresh daily - be sure to ask when you walk in - what's fresh from that morning? As it might not be on display yet.They also have Tomahawk steaks and lots of wagyu choices!We were greeted immediately and the team member managing the front expertly answered all of our questions - she was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable! Right behind her was a team of butchers working non-stop.The one thing we wished we had brought - a bigger cooler! You must check out this gem of a butcher when you are in SR!

Awesome meat place my wife found when we moved to Santa Rosa a year ago. They will coo up meat if you bring it, but we purchase theirs and it is great stuff. Safeway meat will never taste the same...

This is how they teach their butchers to cut a filet? The second one was great. Now it’s a tiny one and a large one. The only reason I had them cut them 2.5” thick was to have two relatively similar filets. 2.4 oz of non renderable fat for $26/lb…WOW. Also, please cut back on the salt of the hot jerky. ?

Picked up a beautiful brisket today. Called all over SR and Willowside was the only place with a full brisket. And had the best price! My daughter has been buying from this butcher for years and I’m a now a devoted customer. The in-stock fresh frozen selection was amazing, whatever you’ve looking for from a butcher they have it, and the customer service was terrific. Highly recommend.

This place has the meats! They have every type of meat is bingo and it’s always fresh. I’ve been coming here for a while and I’ve tried pretty much everything and it’s all good.

Everything we got there was a hit. We have tried a whole chicken, steak, sausages, marinated chicken tight/breasts, ground meat etc… and everything is outstanding. In addition, Willowsidd meats have reasonable prices and great service.

Be very cautious. Chris can not be trusted! Wanted to buy whole prime NY strip loin but was given a loin that was shrink wrapped with no markings? Attached is a photo of how it should have been marked. I bought this the day after elsewhere. Chris told me he opened it to trim it and then rewrapped it. When i questioned the soft mushy texture and pale coloring, he said that would add to the tenderness (he obviously thought i was stupid) . Chrises story is total BS, I am a retired chef who started in the business as a kid in a local butcher shop. The quality of the beef was most likely select or low quality choice at best. To his credit, he did take it back even after I opened, trimmed, and cut a few steaks. I believe he realized i wasn't the sucker he thought i was. Also, I found it very suspicious that he refused to tell me where he bought it? I asked him several times, and he finally answered national beef. National beef is a meat packing company based in Kansas city. I'm not sure why he didn't want me to know his distributor. Asking where one sources the food they are selling is a legitimate question and deserves an answer.
