Goatlandia is a place to heal your heart. I’ve never experienced the peace I find every time I am there. Reede is such an amazing and knowledgeable woman and has bountiful patience. It doesn’t need to be said that just being around animals, being low to the ground with them and just listening to them can bring peace and pillow smother trauma to a degree. The joy in pigs spinning for veggie treats cannot be matched, the softness of baby goats that would’ve been murdered because they just aren’t good enough. It is close to overwhelming when you think of Deb saving these lives of such varying species, how many would not be here because of production control and supply chain demands. Marie is someone who is so easy to talk to and I know that I’m forgetting so many names of everyone else there because once I get there, I get distracted by the pigs. Everyone should visit this modern day Shangri-La. Thank you for all that you do. ??❤️?? ? ❤️ ? ? ❤️ ? ? ? ❤️ ?

I looked this place up for me and a few of my friends to pet a few of the animals. We pulled up to the farm and automatically got very rude looks and she asked if we are her house keepers. Then we said "no we were here to say hi to the animals" and as she was leaving she said "what do you think this is. Heck no. " very very rudly. We then parked to figure out our plan as another girl stared at us who was leaving and I asked if their was an issue and she said "I'm waiting for you to leave" we told them the website sounded like we could pet the animals and apologized. She continued to laugh at us and was very very rude. It was very unwelcoming and we drove pretty far. The first thing I looked up for petting farm was this place and they could of been nice and educated us we are only 16. Do not recommend going here we just wanted to volunteer but we definitely do not want to go back.

Super friendly (the people are too!) Faye is my favorite (she really loves her butt scratches) but Leo was the star of the show for the group.

Goatlandia is an animal sanctuary that rescues farm animals and educates the public about the choice for a compassionate lifestyle. Call ahead for tour times. Volunteer opportunities available. We fed baby sheep and goats mylk from bottles, met some old-timers who are goats, saw some amazing chickens an met the New Zealand hogs.

Overdue review! Visited this place back in October as a special treat for my mom and I. Really easy to book, and all the email correspondence was friendly. The farm itself was absolutely stunning. When you get there, you feel at home. The owner lives in the home on the property and welcomes you right in! The tour was great. I was in full baby goat heaven. You'll also see adult goats, sheep, horses, chickens, and more. I will say, be careful with the mini pony towards the end of the tour. I was petting him for a short time and he whipped around and bit me. Only after I said he bit me did the tour guides say "Oh yeah, he gets grumpy sometimes." They need to warn people ahead of time about that, especially kids. I know a lot about animal body language and that bite still came out of nowhere. Luckily I pulled back fast and it wasn't a hard bite. Yes, you do sign a waiver about the possibility of this happening, but a warning about particular animals is still very fair! Deb is a cool person who clearly cares very much about the animals, something I can appreciate as someone who is also involved in animal rescue. She has a lot of knowledge about the industry and makes it her mission to save every animal she reasonably can. My only note is that the subject of veganism came up a lot, which is fine, it aligns with the mission of this place, but some of the facts about factory farming weren't too family-friendly. There were several little kids in the group and I didn't think it was appropriate to talk about the gruesome realities of slaughterhouses while they're just trying to pet some baby goats. Sure, they should absolutely learn about that when they're older, but I felt like it maybe wasn't the time for it. Also, there are other ways to support animals and animal rescue other than going vegan (that being said, vegans are awesome, but it's okay that it's not for everyone - and this is coming from a former longtime vegetarian). All in all, great place, great tour, and I would recommend for adults looking to learn more about farm animal rescue and spend time with some really cool animals!

I took my little ? there to be part of their family. My Papito is doing really well. He's adjusted to the other little goats like him and he's happy. I couldn't be more pleased that I fid the right thing by him. Deborah, the owner of Goatlandia is a very nice young woman and she sends me photos and updates on how Papito is coming along.I plan to visit Goatlandia at the end of this month and bring treats and food for the animals as well as Papito and his new found friends. If anyone wishes to contribute anything that will benefit the inhabitants of Goatlandia, you should. You will feel all warm inside by being a good Samaritan on behalf of all the critters that live there. Even though for me it's sort of far, I can still visit whenever I can get a ride to go and see Papito, the ?s, and everyone else.

This place is amazing and obviously does a great job in giving the animals a sanctuary instead of a death sentence, the staff and volunteers are awesome and if possible please donate to cause!!
