I just completed the 20 pound weight loss challenge and have conflicting views about the program, but overall it was a good thing I did for myself. Pros: They were very transparent with me about the contract, how you get the deposit back, I knew what I was signing up for. I was a little skeptical because I did an unofficial weigh in (to see if I should do the 20 pound or hard body challenge) when I signed the contract on Thursday. I weighed around 167ish pounds that day, and when I did the official weigh in the next day, I was about 4 pounds lighter (have no idea why) bringing me to 163.5. Loosing 20 pounds to be 143.5 vs 147 seemed crazy to me as I had been struggling to get below 150 for over 10 years. But i went through with it. I was fortunate enough to be supported through this by my partner, as this requires a lot of discipline to say on the meal plan and go to the gym 5 times a week, but it made me realize I was capable and worthy. I thought it was impossible I could ever survive eating healthy 24/7 and working out multiple times a week ( I ended up adding extra cardio 3-4 times a week after week 3), but it really showed me how capable my body was. I have struggled for years with my weight, and this was the first time I was actually pushed to cross the line, and not able to give up because I couldn't afford to loose my deposit. I don't really agree with the deposit part, but I think that is the motivation I needed to really push myself to not cheat on my meals, and getting up at 4am before work to workout. It was hard as hell, I said no to a LOT of social gatherings, treats at work, and urges for a cheat meal. This isn't a complete lifestyle for me, but it showed me that you can do it if you set your mind right, and I needed that. The gym environment is awesome. The music is my style, its loud, the coaches are motivating and the people doing the workouts are normal people. A lot of older ladys who are not in the best shape, but are really working their butts off, it's truly inspirational and motivating. Nobody makes you feel pathetic or weak, and you are allowed to go at your own pace as you don't have to wait to share equipment or anything like that. No pressure at all from anyone, which helped me with my self esteem because I was really out of shape. Cons: I don't agree with the deposit part for the contract, although I have to admit it motivated me 100%. As someone who is middle class that is comfortable with finances (I probably have PTSD from growing up low-income honestly), I still had crippling anxiety for 6 weeks that I would loose some of my deposit if I didn't complete this challenge. Literally cried a few times cause I felt this goal was impossible, and they were hanging my hard earned money over me. Again, I signed up for this contract and knew what I was getting into, so they didn't trick me or anything. I feel like this program targets people who are overweight obvs, but who are a lot of time also lower-income, which I feel awful taking away some of that money because they didn't meet their goal. Also the meal plan is SO expensive, I can't imagine being low-income and/ or having kids and being able to afford all the food you can eat. Between me and my partner we were spending around $40-80 each a week for us two. Obv you know what you sign up for, and yes it 100% motivated me, but not without giving me anxiety. The social justice advocator in me just doesn't agree with this concept, but it does work. I wish the meal plan part included more education on nutrition as a whole, just not their meal plan. I already knew how to eat healthy so for me it was fine, but I wish there was more of an explanation of why certain foods weren't good for you. For example, I saw some people eating cauliflower or carrots (which isn't on the plan), and I wish there was more education on what are carbs, sugars, fats etc and what they do for you. Verses just telling people not to eat it just because its not in the meal plan. I also don't

At the end of 2019 I wanted to turn my physical help around. I was at 283 lbs and knew I had to do something. I had no idea where to start. Luckily my co worker started working at the camp and told me all about it. I highly recommend The camp because they leave the guess work out of it. They tell you exactly what to eat and how work out to get the results you want. Excellent program with more than helpful staff. Best decision I've made. Thanks to all who are involved in my healthy weight journey!

The camp is one of the best things I have ever done.I didnt like it at first because I had such bad eating habits it was really hard for me but now I love it i love that feeling after a work out. that's something I've never thought I heard my self say They help you out with everything they show you what you can and cant eat and just in general how to eat healthy. I lost 22 pounds in 6 weeks ! I didnt think it was possible for me, but they guided me through everything I would definitely recommend the camp for any one trying to loose weight, or just forw anyone trying to stay fit. the trainers are amazing and they always push you to work harder and not give up. all the staff are amazing and they are super friendly
