This store is SHADY. We’ve gone in twice, and both times they’ve upsold us on something that they completely misrepresented.
The first time, they gave me a big song and dance about their 5G internet. I took the stupid box home, and it turns out that this device won’t work ANYWHERE in Santa Cruz. When I brought it back, they refused to take it back because “We’re just a retail store, you need to take it to a corporate store.” ?♀️ ?
Took it to the retail store 20 minutes away, and they said “Oh, we can’t take this back because we didn’t give it to you, so you’ll have to call Verizon and have it shipped back. They should have never given you that, they don’t work here.”
Putting aside the question of why Verizon is shipping out devices in places they don’t work, this was a massive hassle.
Flash forward to 2 months later when I needed something done and it was rush hour, and against my better judgement I went in to do something simple, they upsold me on an extra line that I didn’t need and didn’t want in the first place because they told me that there was some magical special happening that knocked $5 off my bill for a 4th line and that it was TOTALLY FREE.
Somehow we were sucked into the vortex here and agreed to this, and immediately started receiving pro-Trump political texts. Oh yay.
If that weren’t bad enough, we were then charged a $100+ in fees that nobody told me about, and it turns out it’s because that promotion ended in JANUARY. This was MAY.
Steer way clear of this place. Fight the rush hour to Capitola

I went into switch my service to Verizon from T-Mobile and trade in my phone. The woman I worked with tried to bundle wireless home internet with the phone service. I told her that I upload large raw video files on a regular basis, So I need to keep the internet I have. She argued that The internet she was offering me was just as capable as cable internet. She knows little to nothing about the product she is selling. She also told me she had a phone in stock that she didn't have. It was a giant waste of an hour and a half of my time. She also kept trying to sneak in extra charges that were not what we originally agreed upon. The whole thing was like going to a used car dealer. If you see a salesperson there with black hair and bad skin, avoid her. She's an idiot.
