This is a go-to for my family and I. The family room is perfect for 4 of us, including my handicap brother, who does not walk. Even with a wheelchair, the room is still easy enough to access and perfect amenities to be comfortable on a short - or long-term vacation. Rooms have 2 bedrooms, 2 showers, and 1 pull out couch. The location is perfect for walking to any of the attractions on vacation and even a view of the ocean from the room. Staff is incredibly freindly and helped us get the television working same day we asked. Snacks and coffee are included in the morning with a beautiful terrace/balcony to start your morning. 5/5 stars highly recommend ?

My husband and I will not go back to Casablanca Inn on the Beach. #1 the stairs going upstairs are not legal. They are too narrow and too steep and the handrail is too low. My husband lost his balance coming down the stairs because of the handrail being too low. We have traveled all over the world and this is this first time I have written a negative review on anyone. Very poor room set up, nothing to put your clothes on. There was 1 chair in the corner. No table, no counter space, very cheap old, old, old room.

The room was small and not really clean. When we entered the room there was water in the room. The toilet clogs immediately. We are very happy that we are leaving the hotel tomorrow and only stayed here for one night. It is not recommended. We also had loud neighbors and you can hear everything through the ceiling. When we arrived around 9 p.m. there was no one there. We had to receive our key over the phone. The late arrival was announced in advance. We are not at all satisfied with the service. And we didn't feel comfortable in the room either. When we raised the issues the next day, it was simply dismissed.Rooms: Not comfortable. Run down. Constipation in the toilet. Noisy neighbors as you can really hear everything

Excellent and quick service from the front desk. Everything you need in your rooms: fridge, microwave, coffee machine, etc. smack in the middle of downtown and the beach so you’re walking distance from pretty much everything: the boardwalk AND the wharf. If you get a good room its also an incredible view of the beach. Definitely plan to stay here again in the summer.Rooms: Very nice rooms with all your needs and a good size bathroom and shower.Nearby activities: Right next to everything. Walking distance from the boardwalk, beach and wharf. A short drive from downtown and other attractions like the Mystery Spot.

This location was amazing, right at the beach front of Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The room was nice and cleanly. It was small and cold. My largest concern was the water from the tub took forever to drain. The heater only heated the front half of the room, but was okay for us because we like a cooler temp to sleep but might pose an issue for someone else.Overall was a great stay for the night.Rooms: The room had wood floors and a lot of windows so was pretty cold for the winter time.Walkability: The hotel is literally across the street from the beach. Note worthy, it is on a slope, so the walk out is slightly steep or consist of stairs, could be an issue from someone with a cane, but wheelchair would be fine.

Beware of their lousy customer service. They say they have a 3 day cancellation Policy but when I canceled 3 days before I was told they were keeping $160 and they actually need 4 days. So I tried to then keep the booking because who enjoys lightning money on fire? Nope that also was not going to work- I’d have to just rebook as it was already officially cancelled. Mind you I called within an hour of canceling to try and work it out. No luck. What a disappointment- but from some of these reviews about bad customer service and dirty rooms I guess losing $160 might be better than dealing with their terrible service. Dream Inn I’m coming your way!

Super awesome and totally friendly staff at front desk!!! They really saw to it that my wife and I would enjoy our stay and have a great visit! Room was unbelievably clean and comfortable with all the amenities expected. Fresh laundered linens and towels. The view is paradise like and it was super quiet. Nothings perfect but this is as close as it gets and it was spectacular! Price was right not too expensive, location is excellent for the boardwalk and the wharf. This is a must stay place while in Santa Cruz!Rooms: Super clean and accommodatingNearby activities: Boardwalk and wharfSafety: Locked gates require key card

Only stayed the night and showered in the morning. Clean room, simple. The girl at the counter was from Hawaii is all i remember but she was super cool and down to earth, great service.

We stayed in the hotel's original (older part) and liked it quite a bit. This place is over 110 years old, so few things would not match modern amenities, but for us, that was the selling point. The staff was very cordial, too.

I really liked this hotel because of how close it is to the beach and I wanted to see the sun rise but the new construction next door prevented me from doing so. The truth is, if the new construction is taking away your view, it was a beautiful morning with the coffee anyway. Delicious everything was very clean I had new towels if I would come back again

We stayed for one night and we loved the location and the lobby. It was overall nice, although we didn’t spend much time in the hotel.I agree with most reviewers that the rooms were dirty. It was cleaned up and neat, but it seems they don’t mop or do deep cleaning. The floor was very dirty and the furniture was stained and seemed dirty from wear over time. They don’t have phones so it does take a while to contact front desk via phone. It is a great location to stay if you are having a party or just want a place to stay while you enjoy the location. Not a great place if you are looking for luxury accommodations.Walkability: Excellent location for walking
