“I was searching for a bank in Santa Cruz County that did not have or manage investments in oil and gas, and Bay Fed was the only one that I could find. I had an account there that I had not used in years and found, once going there in person, that they had changed their policies to give people good interest rates for various types of accounts without penalties for going below the original level of investment. This was told to me by a very cordial and knowledgeable teller named Yisah, and she recmmended that i talk further with another person, Andrew Leon, whom she alerted and who was instantly available. He informed my spouse and I of what we could do to change our accounts for better interest and recommended that we talk with another person about CD's, etc. Mr. Leon also gave a message to that other person to please call me. This is far more helpful assistance than I got from a large brokerage firm. Both Yisah and Mr. Leon were exceedingly enthusiastic about their work and had people skills to be much admired. I could not have learned more or have been treated more kindly anywhere.”

“I recently refinanced a car loan with Elsa at Bay Federal and her service was exceptional. Her efficiency, depth of knowledge, accessibility and experience are unmatched. Elsa is a life long local, is friendly, relatable, informative and kind. She knew just what I needed and recommended additional options for future financial decisions and we will be returning to use her services again very soon. She is amazing. I highly recommend contacting Elsa for any of your banking needs ! If I could give her ten stars I would !”

“Matt was professional, timely, informative about the loan process, responsive to all our questions, and enjoyable to work with. He offered a competitive rate and the process was simple and efficient. While other circumstances led to us not needing the loan in the end, he was very gracious and supportive throughout. I would highly recommend him!”

“The only walk in branch Santa Cruz. Sadly they closed the locations inside the Safeways on Mission and 41st... so now your other options are only Watsonville or Scott's Valley. They need more tellers then the same 2-3... they've got 6 windows. The regular tellers are nice and professional... just wish they had more folks especially when someone calls out.”

“I have been banking with comerica many years, my account was shifted to this branch when they closed their mission street branch. I have always been treated respectfully and recognized as a regular customer. They have had a few new workers recently. Though I have not had anything but kind solid efficient treatment at this banking center”

“I had the best experience on their customer service phone line. Margarita went way out of her way to make sure I was able to remedy issues that arose after my wallet had been stolen. She took the time to explore many options before finalizing on a solution. Her warmth and friendliness made it a pleasurable interaction. Hope I get her again should I need support on future issues.”

“I recently decided to close my accts @ Wells Fargo after 43+ years and now do my banking at Comerica Bank. Wells Fargo had finally driven me elsewhere. Comerica's tellers & bankers are friendly & don't rush you through, no matter how many people may be in line. In fact, I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be helped by any one teller nor have I seen more than 3 people waiting in line. I am ALWAYS treated with respect...afterall, it is my money...they never forget that! Comerica also has a guard by the ATMs & main entrance...I feel better with those guys around. Believe it or not, they also have drive-thru banking. Ah, the joy of knowing when its rainy & frozen outside, I have the option of doing my banking in my Pj's & slippers with my car heater on while the rest of you get soaked in the freezing rain. Nothing personal friends.”

“This review is about this particular branch, not the BofA "brand" (because they're not my favorite!). I go here for work-related banking and at this particular location, I'm always impressed by the prompt and friendly service! I've been going to the Capitola location for years and it always takes forever, no matter what time of day, no matter if you're the only one in line, it's absurd. I honestly go out of my way to do banking at the Santa Cruz location because they make my job much easier/less time consuming. If you're "tied" to BofA, I definitely recommend going to this branch and avoiding 41st Av!”

“I am super impressed with the customer service we received from Armando at this bank. Our personal and business banking has been at Wells Fargo for over 20 years. When covid hit, Wells Fargo turned their back on us - and many other small businesses. The folks working at Wells in Aptos are lovely - but it's closed and we only had the corporate numbers to call. We turned to SCCB and although we don't bank with them - yet - they immediately helped us to apply and receive the PPP loan which saved our business!!!! Armando was super available - when I called and got the voicemail, he always personally called back immediately or very soon thereafter - even during nonbank hours. This bank was clearly prioritizing helping small local businesses!”

“Wells Fargo ( Aptos branch ) used to be my "home" bank. Nowadays , Wells River Street is my favorite & most visited Site. It can be a little tricky getting into and out of the parking areas. All in All a good place to be. Just a few trips here, (With Google Maps as my guide) and Viola! I do all my banking here, easily.4”
