This Safeway is probably the cleanest one I've been to. It is within walking distance from my house so I continue coming here. The self-check out is what keeps me in and out of the store really fast. The machines are out of order from time to time but it's a quick way of grabbing what I need. Too bad when I'm buying alcohol it'll take a little longer because they're not allowed at the self check out. Overall this Safeway is convenient and tidy.

I was stuck at check out counter. Paul came to my help. The produce that I bought is should be $1.51/lb vs $3.99 but for some reason the check out counter did not recognize the change. And I left my phone at home. So that's no way to show evidence. I was about to leave and make another trip back with my phone. Paul at check out counter tried something and He was able to get the discounted price by keying in the code instead and he does not has to override the price. He got me the huge savings and save me another trip. Thank you Paul!

I like this Safeway; it's quiet, with a bit of music playing in the background. The service is phenomenal. It's never out of stock, and the produce and meats are always fresh. The sushi is fresh, and there's a wide selection too. My 12-pack of caffeine-free cola is always here! If you are a trail mix person, this is the place. You can build your own bag to your liking.

This is one of my go-to food shopping locations in North San Jose. Convenient, clean, great selection, ample parking, and decent service experiences. They even have a great selection of fresh flowers! It's nice touch to have a vase of fresh flowers at the house entry or center on dining table.

Needed to run in for batteries. Stood leaning against customer service for 10 minutes only to be told to go push a button on the battery cabinet to get help. There is no battery. So after yelling across the store to tell them this an employee came by and said they must have decided to remove it. Leaned against cabinet for a few more minutes before someone came with key. Pointed to what I wanted, he took it out. I went to take it and he wouldn't give it to me as he was looking for a check stand to walk me to. I walked out. Safeway, you need to stop locking up batteries! Waste of time

This review is for the Safeway Bakery. Two stars for the cake because it did taste decent. It is not as fluffy and more on the sweeter side. I took three stars away because they did not follow directions on how I wanted the print to be large, they put the "Happy Birthday" on the wrong cake, and was late for the pick up time. Today is the Marines Birthday so in celebration, my department placed an order for two cakes for the cutting celebration. There is a tradition where the oldest Marine cuts a piece of cake with his sword and passes the slice to the youngest Marine. It is a way to celebrate the past, present, and future. The oldest is passing his experience and history to the younger generations from my understanding. A chocolate and white cake was ordered. My coworker placed the order a week before the event and was very thorough on what design and print. The day of the bakery called saying that the cake wasn't ready at 9am, the pick up time requested. The bakery didn't have rice paper for the print, so we had to pick up the cake a hour later. Luckily, we weren't doing the cake ceremony not until noon but someone else had to pick up the cake since the time changed. When the cake was picked up the writing was on the wrong cake and the design on the rice paper should have been larger for the branches. We scrambled to find someone to write "Happy Birthday" on the cake cake. Someone did it but it was so sloppy and definitely looked last minute.

Hello I never used Yelp before until I experienced bad customer support at Safeway 3970 Rivermark Plaza, Santa Clara, CA. I went to the store like I usually do during the week to get "Raid" flying insect spray. Could not find the product looked, looked and looked, everywhere. Decided to ask customer support at the service desk for the product that ever store should have. Talked to a person name "Briana "and she told me that all the insect spray was on aisle 9. I told Briana that I was specifically looking for "Raid" indoor flying insect spray which I did not see on aisle 9. I said to myself "wow maybe they have it in the back and that customer support was wrong." So, Briana and I kept talking about the missing product that she did not want to help me with. Usually, sale people at this store are really helpful when I had a question in the past. But not Briana, she kept trying to blow me away and talk to one of co-worker about non work related stuff. After getting blown away by Briana, I looked again all around the store and decided to by some Green flying insect spay product which I knew was a waste of money. Paid for my groceries and preceded out the door and before I enter the exit I saw the "Raid" that I was looking for. The Raid was on a side stand which could have been easily located if someone like Briana did her job of being a customer service personnel. Therefore, I thought that Safeway would like this feed back .

Customer service ... poor... Cashier Cristina needs to go back to training and be taught manners. Sorry not sorry that we had to remind her that there is a line back to timbucktoo in this already high traffic Location to turn her ass around and check out items for us instead her talking to other employees about how she wants to go home and take a break and then reminding everyone it's the start of her shift... better off staying home and calling out instead of showing up piss ass FML attitude like she doesn't have one care to give. Rating is not due to store but employee... store itself is not bad at all but experience is what matters.

Store is clean and well stocked. Easy to find things. Get the app for extra savings. I got a bag of shredded cheese for free. Parking Can be a nightmare. Lots of restaurants in the strip mall.

I am really digging on this Safeway lately. a) ever since covid hit, I now eat lunch at my desk. Saves money because I have both unsweetened and fruit flavored ice teas in the fridge here, so I go half and half to further cut back on the sugar from my old normal of a soda at lunch out and about. I would usually get those sweetened and unsweetened ice teas at Target, but they're losers for consistently keeping things in stock, but this Safeway has been great about that. b) Because I come here more and more for ice tea, I have also been getting lunch here too. I have fallen in love with this "fresh delicious simple" section. I usually go for a meatful choice, and then a no meat choice. Today for example, I got the kale/mango salad with the turmeric chicken (?) salad. And there's big enough selection here to mix and match stuff to not get board. Last week, I had the regular chicken salad with, shoot, can't even remember, but it was a vegetable salad different than the kale/mango. Nice job Safeway, and please keep it up!

Very disrespectful cashier. I'm interning for Google in the summer (not very familiar with the area) and whenever she saw I don't have my ID with me her behaviour changed and made me stop until their stupid slow payment machine fully processed my transaction.

Clean well stocked while organized artisan and contemporary foods great dairy section everything fresh excellent meat department with a variety of desserts made at their bakery and any type of vegetable fruit that's supposed to seasonal and standard. Also agree variety of coffees and teas that you can grind yourself and the largest assortment of cheese from around the world. It's a great store in a excellent area with adequate parking... Also it's next to a Pharmacy and across the street is a traditional hardware store family owned and staffed

Been a regular customer there for years but the availability of items has diminished in recent years, deli options never change compared to other Safeway stores in the area (Milpitas) . I tried to speak with a store Manager today about items no longer being offered and he walked by and blew me off and said "Ill look into it" I didn't get his name but will.

about a month or so ago i came to this safeway location and never got the name of the person who works in self check out. today i decided to go in and luckily he was there. a month ago when i came in i purchased a few items and used self check out since the lines everywhere else were long. once i was done i walked to the other side of the store to exit since thats closest where i was parked. Robert then proceeded to run after me and stop me once I was outside snd accuse me of stealing. He also demanded for my recipe and asked coworkers "what date is it" implying that i was stealing still. I have never been so embarrased before. One of the managers with short hair was polite enough to walk me out to my car and apologize on his behalf. I went home and immediately called HR. They said they would 'look into it' and give me a call. I recieved absolutely NO CALL and spoke to a manager garry or garret after regarding this issue. He also apologized and offered me a gift card which I didn't accept. That gift card will not take back the embarrassment or emotional distress i had to go through in the moment. I use to be a manager so I'm a little confused as to why he's still employed. Anything could've went wrong if it was someone else and thats a huge risk and endagerment to everyone else around him. He needs more than just a 'write up' ! he needs to be FIRED for this unacceptable behavior. That is the rule in all work enviroments so why is it different for Robert?
