Bill and Ken have been amazing! Referred by a friend, I went there for my 20+ year Mercedes SLK sitting in the garage over 10 years. Guess what? It's running like a new now after Motorspeed's magic touch at a very reasonable and competitive pricing. I really appreciate the passion and expertise of German automobiles that those guys have. Without them, I would not be able to keep such a baby with sentimental values. Thank you!

If you have a pre-OBD-2 BMW or Mercedes, save yourself headaches and go here when you need service or have questions about DIY repairs. Most "BMW Specialists", even the ones at the dealer, don't really understand the ones that are 30+ years old. You'll end up coming back over and over again because their "fixes" don't work. These guys are the real deal. You may end up spending more your first visit, but you won't have to come back again a week later. Totally worth it. They don't recommend unnecessary service and they are a great resource to have in your back pocket on your classic German car ownership journey. These guys are in the business because they like what they do, they like the cars, and they like the customers.

Let me just tell you how eager I was to write this review. They fixed my BMW which had a bad DME (computer) and were quick on the turn around. The receptionist Tammy is so nice and very informative. Bill is patient, kind, knowledgeable. The correspondence here has been great, I truly recommend this shop for all your repair/maintenance needs!

This was my first time working with the team and it was a one-off, unfortunately. I asked them for a pre-purchase inspection and the seller was open to a closer look. The intake process was super-efficient: Tammy answered the phone and was friendly, direct and candid. She knew exactly what I needed. Following the inspection, I not only have a printed report but an estimate of what it would cost to optimize the car and a fantastic "above and beyond" chat with Bill. If you need a local, bring them your car. They have been in business this long because they do right by the customer.

I've had so many problems and repairs with my 2008 BMW X3, I lost confidence in my car. It started squealing and then black smoke came out the tailpipe, I thought it was done for... I had it taken here due to a recommendation from a client. Let me say, as a woman it's difficult making sure only what you need gets done and done right..The $161 diagnostic was thorough and Bill let me know everything my car needed done. He also understood that I couldn't afford to do everything right now. He replaced the valve cover now to get it running again, YAY! He let me buy my own part to save a little...It's doing fabulous and I was able to make it up my house to Klamath CA with no issues, 400 miles away, He assured me that my car is good actually, and I'm beyond grateful to Bill. I bought all the other parts he recommended I replace, when I can afford it, I'll have them put in..I can be happy with my car again.... Bill, if you ever want to fish in the Klamath River, let me know!!!!

I’ve experienced the excellent work these guys have shown me over 30 years starting with a Mercedes 450SL that I had some inexperienced mechanic almost ruin. I had a relative recommend them to me and these guys fixed it, I thought it would never be right but it came out like a new car.Thank you

I've been here twice. Both times I was given a quote upfront and reasonable turn around time. I'm very satisfied with their work.The first time I went in to get my amplifier replaced (water damage from the rain). I purchased the bavsound amplifier myself and they installed it for me within 2-3 hours.The second time the rear window on my convertible wouldn't go down and then obviously the roof wouldnt go down (not much of a convertible). Getting into the back to access the motor for the window with the top up is quite difficult and time consuming. They were able to do it. The only delay was that a part needed was not available, but they got it ordered and installed the very next day.

I've been a customer at Motorspeed West since my first BMW back in 2000 so; it's been at least 20 years. I've never had a poor service from this shop. Both owners Bill and Ken are knowledgeable and professional. Their employees are good at what they do too. It's always great to see how clean their shop is. Having a trustworthy mechanic shop is a benefit and I would recommend this shop for any service needed as it pertains to BMWs but, I hear they do good work on Mercedes Benz which is the other only mfg they work on. Brought in my 528i for check engine light and they did diagnose and figure out what's wrong and fixed what really needed. They are super fast and fair pricing. Now my car is very powerful and no lights!

Once again these two brothers not only fixed your newer BMW but at no cost looked at our older one that my husband drove me over in to drop me off for pick the newer one. They then cleared a light because one the back windows had a warning. We recommend them to everyone! (And by the way guys my yelp is only my initials because my names are too unusual,but I'm Gary's wife.)
