Took over an hour and a half before they started to dry my car, the car was dry and streaked by then and they wanted to wreck my paint by wiping it down dry. I asked for a refund and the kid refused to help at all. I am doing a chargeback and never going back.

This place is so bad, I paid for Superworks service and the works and my experience was very bad service, they didn't clean behind the seats, there were shoe prints, even in the trunk. Super dirty, they didn't clean it. Terrible service, I don't recommend it to anyone. I've been to other places and they do a complete job, but this service was super terrible.

Nearly left my baby and I stranded last night.
Been bringing our Audi here for four years. Google says they close at 6, so I brought our Audi in at 4:55 and asked for the SuperWorks. Strapped my 15 month-old son to my chest and walked to Ralphs to pick up a few things. At 5:38pm, I came back to find the place locked up and dark and my car nowhere to be found. Checked my phone to find I had missed a call 6 mins earlier, with a message saying that I could pick up my car tomorrow. So I'm supposed to walk home with my son in the dark? I called the number three times and finally got through to a rude gentleman who told me they had closed at 5 and waited for me for 45 minutes—not possible since that's when I dropped off my car. And if they close at 5, why did they start something that takes at least 20 minutes at 4:55? I argued with him and he finally said he could be back in an hour to give me my car—apparently it would take him that long to drive back from Goleta. Somehow, he managed to get back in 10 mins. Absolutely not okay to jerk me around like this. I won't be coming back.
EDIT: it's been a few years, so I decided to give these guys another chance. Asked them to detail our 2023 Chevy Bolt so that we could sell it. The guy said it would be $20-30 more than the posted price for a detail, which he said was a "starting price". I asked why, and he pointed to some dust on the back of the front seats from my son's feet, which he said would require "extra labor" to remove, even though I was already paying them to shampoo everything. Note that the car is scarcely a year old, and one of the smallest cars you can buy in the U.S.
I called Educated Car Wash from the parking lot, and they offered to detail my car for $70 less. What a rip-off. This is the last time I'm coming to SB Hand Wash.
Prior to this, I was mostly satisfied with this place. They do an okay job for $30-40, but they almost always miss a few spots and I have to ask them to clean the rims better every time. I've been coming back mostly due to the convenient location, and since it always seems to take about an hour, I run errands or grab lunch instead of waiting.

Overpriced and barely vacuumed. Paid $50 and now my car is semi clean with greasy dashboard and my seats still have crumbs in them. I won’t be coming back

This is the car wash that gives car washea a abad reputation. I will never go back to this place.
They took almost $300 for the interior cleaning and told me to wait a couple hours. After 2 hours, they hadn't started on me, andasked me to come the next day. KC said he would be there the next morning to personally do the job while blaming his coworkers for the lapse.
Next day, he didn't show up. The employees that were there, took my truck in. But after an hour of not working on it, I asked for my money back and they then rushed through it leaving dust and dirt all over.
Not worth the money, time, effort, I felt like a rube and they still stalked around me at the end to try and get more from me with a tip.

Just want to give my honest opinion. The good and the bad. It was my first time there and everyone was super nice all around, helping explain the difference between the wash and what is and isn’t included. They were prompt with timing too. I didn’t inspect the cleanliness until after I left and I wish I had. I paid extra for the super wash and leather conditioning. Assuming this would leave the entire exterior of the car spotless, which it was not. Tons of dirt in the wheel well and mud flaps that weren’t sprayed or whipped and lots of little areas on the vehicle that were simply forgotten. Unfortunately won’t be back here after spending $75, I had more attention to detail as a child cleaning my families car.

the past 2 times i've had to take my car back because they missed doing the vacuum. they are always in a rush and understaff.
i have been a client for over 20 years back I'm not going back, The guys at the vacuum area don't do their job anymore. so sad
it's very upseting

Terrible service. Walk in and the person the desk asks, "What do you want.". I ask for a gift certificate for the "Works", the basic package at $65. She says she only sells gift certificates for the Super Works at $85. I ask if they can just edit the certificate for the one I want. NOPE. Buainess must be good to justify such rude service.
