Was trying to track down ink for our printer and had already been to four stores. I called OfficeMax as a last resort and spoke to the employee on the phone to which she said they had the correct kind in stock. I came in and was greeted upon walking in and was immediately assisted by the manager. He told me that unfortunately they were out of the cartridge I needed but since I called and came down he would honor the lower price for the larger cartridge. This is the type of customer service that keeps business coming in the door! Much appreciated!

Nowadays going to a store to get an item is like... Forget about it.. However there are places and people that make exceptions to the rule.... Let's talk about it.. I've been to this office max a few times for office supplies.. Both times I've left laughing followed with a smile. Customer service at this place reminds me of a time When people actually cared.. I highly recommend office max for your supplies and needs.. And maybe the candy and snacks close to checkout to accompany your wait..

Convenient OfficeMax location with lots of parking. Everyone is helpful whether I'm purchasing ink, a shredder, file cabinet, nice people. Always stocked on the important stuff too. Thanks for making it easy to get in and out so quick and easy!

We needed to scan some artwork and headed to the room where the copiers are...a couple available for self-serve and a lot behind the counter. Things didn't seem busy, but if we left it with the counter help, we wouldn't get them back until tomorrow. So self-serve it was, except for the streaks and smudges on the glass. The man behind the counter was less than helpful and didn't even bother to windex the smudgy screen on the scanner. He didn't seem busy. No other customers in sight. Just a big disappointment all round. Definitely won't be returning. Hoping for a better experience at Kinkos.

Really nice store. I can't believe they're not bankrupt. I've been twice in two weeks, once on a weekend and once on a weekday, and it's empty! Everyone is really nice and helpful. I went today for a keyboard tray, unaware that 1) they've gotten really cheap in the 20 years since I purchased one and 2) they're mostly online. Got an extension cord and recycled files (hanging) last week. I love that they have recycled hanging files. You save money and help the planet a little. I'm a fan!

OfficeMax is the place to go for your office supplies if you live or work in downtown Santa Barbara. I had gravitated to this spot once Staples, the only other large office supply store downtown, had closed. OfficeMax shares a parking lot with a very busy grocery store but there always seems to be plenty of parking. The shopping center is right off the Garden Street exit from the 101 freeway but must be accessed via Gutierrez Street. The store is spacious, clean, bright, and surprisingly well-stocked. I'm almost always greeted by an employee and they are usually willing to help find what you're looking for. I personally enjoy perusing the many shelves in search of my next office supply. You can also order your item(s) online and the staff will retrieve and bag it up for you. I've taken advantage of this perk while on a time constraint and will admit that it was very convenient. Check this awesome store out!

The most disgusting ladies restroom I've ever seen in a public setting. The door was broken, toilets had some kind of nasty mold growing all over not just one but two stalls. The sink was not even touchable. I didn't want to touch anything and to get out of the restroom I had to grab the broken square piece of what used to be a lock. Poor management and low standards in this store. The staff was not friendly or helpful either when I asked about a printing question. Do not go to this location...if the employees have to use this restroom they are probably carrying around all kinds of filth through the store. I wish Yelp had a negative star rating.

Our checker was discourteous. My girlfriend was being very nice as she always is, trying to exchange a few words but he was not going to have any of it. He gave us the bill without a word while we said thank you twice just in case he didn't hear us. He went right back to his phone which is what he was doing before we walked to his cash register. No customer skills, just a rude tall young man. I own a chain of shops and I hope I don't have someone like him working for us.

This location is out of every desk. Funny how you can go on their website and it shows that they have a bunch in stock, but then when you get to the store, there aren't any available. I ended up getting an office chair... Somehow, they added on some warranty to my bill without my knowledge. I just had to cancel the warranty they charged me for through the third party that randomly emailed me about it. You can cry "COVID" all you want, but that doesn't give you reasoning for being shady with people's charges. How rude!!

The print department is fantastic! I went to print some posters for a protest and they went up and beyond to help me meet my price and deadline. Thank you Christine and Kevin for restoring my faith in the service industry.

These guys are the worst! Every time I go in, it seems that none of the items that they have on display are actually in stock. Then they invite me to order it online on their website. Why don't they just close the store and save themselves the payroll.

took the bus there on a Sunday to purchase some sheet protectors for my adult coloring book pages I do I didn't do the 1 hour thing since the websites differs from the actual store on hand but I did purchase two packs tri folding which is good I can put four pages and folds out pack of 10 if there was a larger pack of those I'd purchase a few more but those actually worked good so far hope I hope I don't buy them all lol but I did almost purchase some more sharpies I use I'll be returning soon to purchase more also would be nice on other sizes like 9 x 12 or higher for larger papers.

I had a pleasant experience right as I walked in the door. I came 30 minutes before closing time at 9 pm and needed some ink #63 for my hp printer. The sales associate was super helpful and helped me differentiate the best deal with what I was looking for. I'll be back, there was plenty of parking and it was well lit for being dark outside.
