I went to the Chapala Market to get masa, salsa and corn husks for Christmas elk tamales. I asked a worker stocking shelves where I could find these items and he dropped what he was doing and walked me around the store. I joked that he was my personal shopper. He was genuinely interested in what I was making and made sure I knew to soak the husks. The check out lady also asked what I was making and was super nice. Explaining elk and how I got it was a funny conversation but their masa and salsa will make my elk tamales taste great!Excellent service with great personality and made in-house masa and salsa! Easy parking too.

The best thing is the meat counter. Produce looks like leftovers from the swap meet. Kind of pricey. Cashier was pleasant. It used to be a great store when I was a kid. It has been there as long as I can remember. It's too bad it's not what it used to be, far from it.

I love to support all of the local markets in and around town. They have a wonderful meat counter as well as produce can be a little iffy? The rest of the store is great when you're in a pinch.

Hey this place is really reasonable. It does cater to the local community of Hispanic influence. A lot of things found here will aid you in cooking authentic Mexican food. Good meat counter fish as well.

Hardly anyone in there seemed a bit grimey not perky not busy not motivated to do good I don't know this store to be this way I don't dare to go in there again not friendly although there's covet it shouldn't make too much difference some stores are Lively and music going nice you can feel it alive and I can feel the cleanest in it not the other store felt
