I have been with RCOC for over 2/3 of my life. They have treated me like family and I wouldn't have the fulfilling life that I have now without them. Shout out to Marisa Patterson and Danny Ly

Early last year, my child was evaluated as delay. Both me and my husband heard it clearly from the coordinator Karla saying that the wait might be weeks or months especially it's during the pandemic. So we waited. However, end of last month, which was Feb, 2023, Karla said the opposites and denied she told us that there's wait time. She was like "no I never say there was a wait list. All it takes was one week. Just one week to get the service. It's on you because you were the mother. You should have followed up." She said that she called and emailed me. She said she was very busy so if I did not respond to her right away she thought we were not interested. However, I did not see a miss call from this lady. There's no voicemail in my phone record. Also, there's no email in my inbox record saying that she emailed me that she helped us find a service provider. It was her fault that she let our case slipped out of her hand. But she blamed it on me. She said it's my fault because as a mother, I should have contacted her to follow up. She was right. I took responsibilities on that. However, I hate that she did not take her responsibility. She should have called left a voice mail or emailed me if she did try to reach out. She did a very poor job. Our daughter wasted 1 year because of this irresponsible lady.

Autism, autism, autism. Is that they are obsessed with. Or better yet any other disability they can get their hands on. It is not possible for you to use their service and have them not attack your child. Now I’m not referring to trying to help I mean look for ways to find a disability to get funding. They will ask many questions seeking to find any weakness they can in your child. It’s all for funding and not to actually help your child. I would not use this service. They are dishonest and also violate hippa laws. They will send out private information about your child to other third parties without your permission.

Although the centers representative utilized a calming tone and appeared professional it was apparent in the questions they asked in the first meeting that they were looking for what upsets your child. This troubled me because it appeared predatory and if you trust them with your child I hope they do not betray that trust and manipulate them or control them. Over all I did not feel safe there nor do I intend to use their services.

I rate it a 5 only because of the services that are provided to the disabled. For the short time I was proud to wear the badge ! Unfortunately their training in the area where I was placed was horrible! the 2 persons assigned to train me (don’t want to mention names )were demeaning ! Who trains from the middle and in so scattered areas of the process ? They dragged their feet with me. From the beginning I did not feel they wanted to invest time in me , very deceiving! In temp to hire . I do want to say that the person that gave me the opportunity at this position is excellent! , professional ,mature, fare and wise.I’m so thankful for the opportunity and experience with her . She is a great asset to RCOC .RCOC as a tip have your staff take a course on how to train new staff & treat them with respect and dignity. These young staff that are assigned the trainer role are mored worried about gossip. So sad ! As an Eligibility worker for 16yrs at my last place of employment speaks volume . Here they make you feel like your d*** ,if you don’t catch on fast enough due to their style of training . If you see a screen for the first time they expect you to know where the tabs are in a completely new program and they are not friendly to show you , instead they make a demeaning remark .Bottom line is they don’t have a plan for training and when they do try to train it’s so vague and unclear.. I won’t let my experience here shift away to ,what great services are provided to those in need .RCOC is truly wonderful !

This place is now useless and unprofessional. The staffs begin to disrespected me in 2018 to this very day. Before I was in a Trauma I thought I was lost I called the urgent line for help they totally refused my services to help me. Also my sc is on vacation I called and ask the operator who is covering for my sc they said this number is for Emergency only. The extension 9 is for urgent only There are three type of urgent, priorty 1, 2, and 3 and the extension 0 is for day time assistant which is for information. I wouldn't even rate this place 1 star I rated a score of 0 which is poor.

I spoke to Jack regarding some detailed information I needed. Was patient with me, and took his time explaining things to me. Then he emailed me amazing info that was needed as well. This man Deserves a raise!

This place has terrible service, you can call all you wish and get no where fast ! If your service coordinator isn’t answering you may forget about receiving any feedback thats useful anyhow. Send an email you may say ? Well but of course I have to no avail. Ask for the service worker of the day then ? More dial tunes and voicemails ahead . A bleeping joke ! Only your Coordinator may answer questions no one else can assist you here which is unhelpful in their absence!

We are very blessed to have had a great experience with Regional Center of Orange County. We were originally told to reach out to them by my son's doctor. We filled out the intake and got help pretty quickly. Alana came to our house to assess our son. She assessed that he could definitely get some services and had him assessed even further. We then met with our service coordinator Amy who has been a great advocate to our son. I met with Amy the Thursday right before the country was shut down. She has been extremely helpful in getting my son help. Thanks to Amy, my son was able to get ABA services. She was very proactive the entire process. She checked in periodically to see how our son was doing with ABA and made sure we were on point with all our meetings. She was great in reminders for the IFSP and IEP meetings. She was a big help in getting our son into the school district and getting continued help at the age of 3. We are very grateful for the help Amy and Regional Center was able to provide and we can't thank them enough. Thank you Regional Center of Orange County.

Patricia Glancy won’t help your family even after seeing photographic evidence of negligence and abuse. Larry Landauer is even worse; he was condescending and inconsiderate on the phone. I’m praying the state will hold them accountable for this horrific behavior.
