If you're looking for a brand new or pre-owned car, truck, SUV, etc... look no further and ask for Edmar Cortez. Thanks so much Ed for helping our family find the right vehicle! Overall, our experience at Santa Ana was phenomenal. Ed made our first time buying experience seamless, simple, and we got exactly what we wanted. He showed us several options and was very patient from start to finish.

This is my first Yelp review... I recently traveled to Orange county on a short business trip. Basically a there and back. When I got to security at the airport for my return trip, I noticed that I left my expensive sunglasses in the console of the rental car. I scoured the internet for a number to the Budget rental car front desk without any luck. The only numbers went to corporate and third party lines. The security line was pretty long and I didn't have time to go back. When I got home I resumed my search for the number to the Budget desk at SNA airport. The John Wayne Airport operator didn't even have a working number for the Budget rental desk. I spoke to a couple of helpful people at the Budget corporate office who helped me submit a lost item claim but, they said that location didn't use the corporate lost and found system so I would have to get a hold of the desk. After multiple days of trying different methods of reaching the desk, I gave up hope. I noticed this happens quite a bit, so i'll do the same thing that the last person did. I prepaid about a hundred dollars on the phone before heading in. The older gentleman at the desk asked for my card and I asked why. He said it was for the charge. I assumed he meant some down payment like a hotel would have. I should have asked him more about it but apparently he added an SLI 14 dollars a day without verbally telling me. I got the feeling that he pulled one over on me. I would recommend going elsewhere.

If I could give a NEGATIVE 100 stars I would. This is by far THE WORST car rental experience I have ever had and I travel for work and rent cars all over the United States. I will NEVER EVER rent from Budget again and have advised everyone I know not to rent from them either. Budget Rental Car DISCRIMINATES AGAINST WOMEN I recently used Budget Rental Car and found that they weren't anywhere close to being within a reasonable budget. They were unreasonably overpriced (more than double what I was quoted) They use pushy sales people and "alleged lack of inventory" to bully women into spending additional unnecessary money. They have HORRIBLE customer service I needed a large SUV to move some things so I used Budget to rent a full-size Tahoe SUV (or equivalent). The cost per day was supposed to be $103.50 Plus taxes and fees. When I picked up the SUV they of course did not have a Tahoe and so they tried to up-sell me to a different vehicle. When I repeatedly stated that I DID NOT want to pay anymore than I was already paying, they gave me an Infiniti SUV. I drove the infinity home and noticed that did not handle well and it reeked of smoke. I have asthma so two days in that vehicle was not an option. The next morning I took the vehicle back to the rental location where I was again informed that they did not have a Tahoe. I made it a point to inform the agent that I wanted a Full size SUV which is what I had already pre-paid for and that I did not wish to spend any more money. The agent said he understood and said he would give me another vehicle in the same class category that I had paid for and had me initial new rental forms and kept my originals. When I asked about the new forms he stated that it was the same deal as the last car, he just needed new forms with the new vehicle number on it. With the original rental I had declined the gas option as well as the additional insurance options which he said would be the same for this new vehicle, and again stated that I just needed to initial as I had done before. When I returned the vehicle to the same location, the return agent handed me a summary of the charges which had more than doubled! Full-size SUVs were listed all over their website for $71- $96 a day. Range rovers, which they consider to be a luxury SUV, were listed at $114 a day. Budget charged me $165.00 a day along with a bunch of over-inflated fees, including a "late fee". Foolishly, I thought that perhaps if I called customer service and explained the situation, that they would perhaps try and right their wrong. The representative informed me that he could only give me a $50 credit as I had apparently, unknowingly agreed to rent an SUV in the next class category (Luxury SUV). I then inquired as to why I couldn't have the charges reduced to $114 a day which is what they were advertising for range rovers and luxury SUVs at the time of my rental. I have screen captures of the cost for the luxury SUVs that show that they were indeed $114 a day but yet they are charging me $165 a day plus taxes and a bunch of random fees along with the $20 late fee for bringing the car back a day late and THEN another $150.00 in fees on top of that! In the end, Budget charged me over $175.00 a day for my rental that should have been $71.15 a day and then had the audacity to charge me another $200 in unexplained fees. Talk about taking advantage of me because I am a female. This is unacceptable and just plain horrible customer service. Future car renters beware - if you are a female DO NOT rent from Budget Rent A Car unless you are prepared to have budget rental car take you to the bank and back!

Completely ridiculous. Will never use or recommend to anyone... ever.... made a reservation to pick up. Long long line only 1 worker. All other car services are one to no line at all. Small talk has it that there wasn't any cars.... so why let us book a reservation through you? Ridiculous. So mad... go in front is always on the phone. Texting or taking. Seems like all he is doing is taking. So I went up.... yes, he small talks me to buy time for the guys getting cars ready. Meetings and things to do. I would rather just go to another car service but I already paid.

The 5 Star ONLY goes to a specific agent, Nicole. She helped me with a mix up with my rental. I'll withhold my opinion on the rest.

When you fly into SNA orange county California, AVOID renting a car from budget! Everytime I fly here budget has a line... ridiculous, never again.

This guy working here is a complete idiot and they are trying to sell all the extra stuff to foreigners and I think it is awful. He is also very rude and doesn't seem to have ever heard of customer service. Can't swipe the card more the once. And then came up with all kinds of scenarios of why it could be our fault. No responsibility and plain unfriendly and bad service

Oh wow! I'm shocked at the ratings and the reviews...., it exactly mirrors my experience this evening at this location..... I went in my personal car along with my wife to pickup a minivan. We could not find a vacant parking spot anywhere near the rental office, even though we drove around it a couple of times, looking for a spot. In the end, we parked our car at the side of the drive way (i.e.: not obstructing any vehicles at all) near to the rental office, with the hazard lights on, with the engine running and my wife in the front passenger seat. I go inside alone and while transacting business with one of the service reps (a snarky Indian guy), the other service rep starts yelling loudly at me saying that my car was obstructing the pedestrian walkway. I go back outside and move the car a few feet, and clearly out of the pedestrian walkway. Then I go back in, and the same person starts yelling again that I can't park there either. His demeanor all this while was very aggressive and discourteous. At this point, the Indian guy comes out to direct me to a suitable spot where I could park. He quickly realizes that there were no vacant spots anywhere nearby, so he has me park in a spot exactly similar to where I had parked earlier...,(i.e. next to the driveway), but in a different location. We went back in, he starts pressuring me into buying their optional insurance even though my personal car insurance covers rentals (I clearly explained this to him), plus my credit card also provides insurance protection. Says they do not deal with insurance companies and would bill my credit card for any damages. After I declined their insurance, his attitude turned visibly snarky & impatient in the way he talked, for the rest of the transaction. All in all, I wish I had seen these reviews before, and had never rented from them. No Budget car rental for me from here on. p.s.: my son later found a half-empty coke can in the rear door cup-holder, that has not been removed from the previous rental.

I wanted to give 5 stars but for one rude desk agent. Seemed put out by my being there. Thats bad customer service. Also got pressured into taking coverage when i insisted i would not. The good: (mostly) friendly and helpful staff, decent rates. Fast break option for short lines.

Ara is the epitome of excellent customer service. I have been renting cars from him since I moved to the neighborhood a year ago and he always goes above and beyond to do his best to help me with my car rental needs, even when I give him no prior notice and come in last minute. I would 10/10 highly recommend him and if you stop in you won't be disappointed. Thank you Ara!

DO NOT RENT HERE. Recently returned a rental on 11/30 and forgot my sunglasses. I realized an hour later that I had left it in the car and drove back where I was told that the car was taken to another location for cleaning and that my sunglasses would be in the lost and found box at 4200 Campus Drive. I went to the location a few days later to pick up my property only to be told that they don't have it!!! I talked to an employee in the office names Blanca and was told she will look into it and cal me back. She never did. It was an expensive sunglasses but I think the value should not matter as you should be able to retrieve items left in the rental without problems. To the management team at Budget Car Rental: It's bad business to not train your employees properly and to not take care of your customers belongings. You have a 2 stars rating for a reason and my review is certainly not a good one. Here's my rental agreement number if you want to contact me and provide a resolution: 289688781.
