I love my yoga at Embrace for many years now, from the Terra Linda small cottage to downtown San Rafael and shame on me for only giving a review now, years later. There is much to love about Embrace Yoga: from a very personable and responsive owner in Beth, to the breadth of yoga classes offered for the different yogis in us, the intimacy of class and the personal attention each of the instructor gives I find special. My all time favorite is Iyengar yoga with Karen Kukula because that's the style that resonates with my body the most. She's outstanding.

Embrace Yoga is a place to meditate and to cleanse ones soul. The positive energy that flows into the studio from the owner Beth Toomey is the main reason her studio stands strong. I encourage people from our community to check out this amazing yoga studio. It is a non pressure and easy going environment. I think every one who has taken a class or has been involved with Embrace yoga, knows it’s a place that feels like home. Especially at this moment where small businesses are struggling. I would say venture out and sign up for a class. Beth is now doing outdoor yoga in beautiful and safe park. Or you can join from the comfort of your home. You will feel welcome and it will bring peace to your day. You will not be disappointed. Namaste . Be well Shari

Embrace yoga is a beautiful space to practice Yoga. They have wonderful instructors for any level. The owner Beth is an absolute delight and very welcoming. I would highly recommend Embrace Yoga to anyone looking to practice. Beth also offers the space for photography on certain days and hours. I have done several shoots there and they have all turned out great! Beautiful light, high ceilings with white walls and floor. Sincerely, Jason Todd Photography sfportraits.com jasontoddphoto.com

Friendly and responsive little studio - no corporate feel or push to buy more classes and I can always get a response quickly via email. Great Iyengar teacher - there aren't that many Iyengar classes in Marin so it's a real treat - if you think that yoga doesn't work for you, perhaps you just need to try this style, which is much more alignment based and structured vs. endless downward dogs and vinaysas at high speed.

I so appreciate a class that is just the icing! All of the "extra" practices we have little time for in a traditional yoga class are found in abundance in Oana's Thursday evening meditation class. Lots of Breathwork, some chanting, a little restorative stuff, guided meditation - it's all here taught by a skillful and passionate teacher.

A couple of my favorite yoga instructors from San Francisco and Marin teach here. I wanted to check it out since it is also closer to home. I visited for the first time a few months ago. I decided to try out new instructors. So far I have taken two weekend morning classes. Unfortunately, both classes were underwhelming. Perhaps it was the type of class I took? The instructors were both very nice and knowledgeable. Perhaps 8am classes at Embrace Yoga are generally on the sleepier side? In both classes, there were 2-3 students total. The studio itself is located in/on the edge of a parking lot. I don't really notice this because I have taken the morning classes when there aren't too many people driving around or parking. There is a restroom to your right as you enter, with a small area for your coat and shoes. There is a reception area to your left before one heads into the class area. As you enter the class area, it is bright with natural light that comes through the large windows. The walls and light fixtures are painted white. It really opens up the space. Despite my disappointment with recent classes, I plan on returning to see what other classes and instructors are like. To be continued...

Such a cute studio! The room itself is calming, and I love how it is decorated! I felt instantly relaxed just by stepping into the room. I only did some restorative yoga here, and the instructor was great!

I love this little gem of a studio. Bright space, good selection and use of props for poses. Kind, patient instructors that stress a proper pose vs speed and power. Music is calm, the restorative classes are aptly named, and I've enjoyed all of them. I felt very much at home there after a short period of time. All the classes have been very worthwhile and I'm glad I found this spot. I went right from my groupon to buying a class card, but its worth noting, no one pressures you to buy, just enjoy! Only suggestion, some blinds for the skylight and windows for the summer.

The instructors here are really good. It's just such a wonderful neighborhood studio! I come here 4 days a week. I highly recommend you give it a try.
