I was impressed by the paperwork checklist on the services and inspections the technician(s) performed, but all that is nothing to how much better the car drives after the service. Of concern to me was resetting the Maintainance Message and Yellow Wrench, which I had lived with for a year, because the prior technician could not find a OBD tool to complete. Mission accomplished! “We took my 2016 BMW in because all the sensor lights light up. We'd just had a tire repaired and figured it had something to do with the wheel being removed and replaced. Nope. Rodents had had a feast again. I'm so happy that the tire service recommended A1! Unlike the dealer, which replaced every wiring harness, A1 repaired the damaged wires. My car was ready in under 24 hours. And rather than having a 5-figure insurance claim, A1 was super reasonable. We were so pleased. We're going back for our regular service on my husband's elderly Audi and my BMW. The shop is low key, hands on, diligent, professional, reasonable.”

When my friend and I dropped his car off in the morning they were wonderful. My friend needed brakes and new bearings. He said his car felt brand new when they were done. I'm going back for tires. “I wanted to add to my earlier review from --wow- ten years ago. Phil and his team remain the best. I have moved to south bay and I have a new mechanic down there who is also great. Phil's just too far away now, sadly. But this weekend I was in the city visiting family when my car burst a radiator hose. I had AAA tow the car to Phil's up in Marin. (it would have been $700 to tow it to the south bay!!) Bless him, he remembered me and my car. Even though it was after noon on a Friday, and the tow company didn't get the car to him til about 2:15, and they close at 3; he took a look at it, reassured me that it was ONLY the radiator hose and not something worse like a head gasket. Assured me that on Monday it would be fixed. What a relief not to have to worry over a longer holiday weekend. He knew we are farther away from home and wanted us to have the the peace of mind and knowledge so we could make decisions about how to proceed. Phil and team are just amazing. It's hard to find such great people who do great work. I feel lucky to have both mechanics.”
