Severely disappointed in the repair/service to my bike. When I dropped it off I mentioned my rims were creaking and needed to have my spokes adjusted, and my brakes were squeeling. It was recommended to me that I get the $120 tune up. They would also change out my tires to my winter/off road tires for my upcoming trip. I dropped off my bike and my tires and off I went. Two and a half days later I pick up my bike. $120 is the bill. I asked if the brake pads were replaced. I was told "if the charge is $120 then no" and then the mechanic was called over. He appeared as though I was bothering him. I asked him what he serviced on my bike and if the brakes were OK. He quickly said "we did a tune up and the brakes are fine. " No explaination as to what might be causing the issues I brought the bike in for in the first place. As I'm riding home I'm experiencing the same creaking in my rims but worse, it used to be only when I turned, now its constant and the brakes are still squeeling. Basically I paid 120 for my chain lube and changing to my off road tires. If they did more, I wouldn't know what it was because my bikes unknown noises are now worse than when I dropped it off. A little communication and customer service goes a long way and unfortunately I did not receive either from this encounter. The second star was for the supervisor (I'm assuming) reminding my mechanic to give me my old tires back. That was nice of him, since they were still good tires.

They’ve fixed up two old bikes for us with new shifters, brake levers, tubes, saddles and handlebars so we can cruise the neighborhood in style. Great value, professional and fast service.

Every time Ive been into the shop, I feel like Im bothering them by asking them to do their job. I spent thousands of dollors in this shop, I expect to be treated with alittle more respect then they are willing to give me.

Great place to buy a new bike. I have also had them rebuild my crank and bottom bracket, they are magnificent bike mechanics... I always get a great price and great product here.

OutSTANDING service during my first visit to The Bike Palace on 22 July 2023. I came in with a flat and a possibly-damaged rim, wanting them to look the bike over. I expected them to tell me to leave it with them for a few days.But Jose quickly welcomed me into the store and asked if I had a flat and offered to fix it, right there, right now, on the spot. He was working on another bike at the time, so I appreciated him taking a quick pause in what he was doing to help me with a quick fix.While inspecting it (in front of me,) he noticed my tire had a bad tear in it, and showed me immediately. I told him that I sometimes take curbs too hard, and he recommended a wider tire that might be able to take more abuse. He even mentioned he had a couple that were on sale and would be happy to swap out both of my thinner tires for some beefier ones. Again, he swapped 'em out on the spot.While he was working, a (what appeared to be) homeless man RODE A LARGE TRICYCLE WITH A REAR BASKET (with a lot of his belongings) into the store. Obviously, this caused an awkward disruption between the bikes on the showroom floor and several customers who were waiting in the aisles. I fully expected an employee to quickly and abruptly shoo the man out of the store. But, instead, Jose was very kind with him ... It was clear the man was a "regular" and just wanted some help with his most prized possession ... his trike. Jose kindly told the man he would help him, but he had to move his trike so it wouldn't interfere with other customers. Jose gave the man some special attention to take a look at what was wrong with the trike so the man felt seen/heard, then patiently ushered him back outside (freeing up space and restoring some order for everyone else in the store.) Then he finished up with my tire swap. Dude has compassion and professionalism not found in most businesses today.The store itself is nice. It has a good mix of affordable bikes for the average person (like me,) as well as high-end, several-thousand-dollar bikes for the serious riders. Lots of electric options as well. But what I liked MOST about the place is that I felt WELCOMED there ... Not just by Jose, but by EVERYONE in that store.Some bike stores are snobbish, catering only to the serious riders. You know, the high-end buyers, the Lance Armstrong wanna-be dentists who ride in packs on the weekends (and spend thousands on their bikes/gear.) I'll never forget being looked down on by a bike shop in Westwood when I brought my el-cheapo bike in for a repair last year. The owner, amidst a group of serious riders who were also in his shop at the time, looked at me like, "What are YOU doing here?" and told me he didn't have time to take my bike in (as he was catering to the high rollers.)I'll never forget that shiddy experience at that Westwood shop. So, when I went into The Bike Palace, I was worried I would experience the same treatment. I was so relieved to feel WELCOMED and treated with respect (just like Jose treated that homeless man.)I'm not a serious rider. I, like many people, just try to get the heart pumping on weekends when I have free time. My bike isn't fancy, and I don't wear brand-name spandex with sponsor logos on it when I ride. Still, The Bike Palace acted like they CARED about my business. And, damn if they didn't EARN it today.Whether for repairs, or to buy my next bike, this is the only bike store I'll ever go to again.Kudos to Jose and thanks to the The Bike Palace for reminding me of the importance of shopping local.

I was desperately looking for a bike for my son (not a bike, "the bike"!), and I found exactly what I was looking for at "THE BIKE PALACE". The contact with Tony, Jose and Nick was so good (really kind, helpful and honest people), that the next day I came back to buy a second bike for myself (even though it was not an urgent matter for me to get a new bike). In the end, I got 2 great bikes, 2 great deals (300$ total discount) from a great place that will take good care of our bikes from here on, if needed. Then, it was not a surprise to learn that this store has been open for 50 years already: they know what they are doing, they're good at it, and they look passionate about it.

Amazing all the way around. Great customer service, fair pricing and quality repairs. We had to have my husbands chained repaired. They took the bike right in and had it repaired in less than 15 minutes. It was great. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

I took my bike in for a brake repair and tire truing and they did it, that's all I can say. Staff is very unfriendly and do not make you feel as if they want your money. Ontop of that when I picked my bike up they didn't even inflate the tire! It was at 35 psi when I picked it up without a cap on the presta valve. First and last time I go to The Bike Palace.

Excellent service ! I usually don't leave reviews for places but they did such a great job I felt I should. I am a novice bicyclist and had some repairs I needed for my ebike . they got it done within a day and could have easily charged more due to my ignorance. Instead they only fixed what was necessary at minimal cost and kindly took the time to explain questions I had.
