Just like many other comments I’ve seen, I had a really bad customer experience at total wine due to them being unnecessarily strict regarding IDs. I went here with my girlfriend to buy some whisky as a housewarming gift and she didn’t bring her ID. We go to checkout and they won’t sell it to us even though she had multiple pictures of her ID and passport with matching dates that show she’s obviously over 21. They still won’t sell it to us. She’s pissed and doesn’t want to go back, so we go home, she stays at home but I go back to go buy the whisky. The bottle is kind of hard to find so I needed to buy it from here. I go back and they still won’t let me buy it over an hour later even though I’m by myself! So now I’m even more pissed and I go back to my house again and we go back together just to prove a point. We get there (my girlfriend is in her PJs at this point she wasn’t planning on going back out) and have both IDs and they finally sell it to us. An hour of our time wasted and just an embarrassing experience.

5 stars for all the Total wine stores regarding huge selections, pricing, customer service assistive and friendliness.
1 stare for rewards program. It is one of the most pitiful and least rewarding programs of any retailer I've experienced.
For years I would enter my telephone number at checkout, expecting a "reward" to pop up on the card reader but that NEVER occurred. However, a new cashier recently advised that at checkout, upon customer request, the clerk needs to manually swipe a code to determine the rewards amount. He also advised the reward points expire within 90-days of purchase.
I feel the rewards program taints the store as a data mining program that offers little to the customer in return.

I came into the store to buy a few things with my friend. She had forgotten her ID in the car therefore she walked away from me when I was walking towards the register. My friend was already by the door when I walked up to the register, and Eric (the cashier) wanted to see her ID. I know they have a policy to check IDs of everyone in line but she was nowhere near me. The only reason he even knew we were together was because he has been watching us since we were shopping at the nearby aisle. Anyway, my friend had to go to her car and grab her ID. Eric you thought you ate. Did all that for what? She wasn’t even in line. You don’t get paid enough to be acting like this.

Great prices on any size of bottle, love the huge variety of everythin, could use another checkout guy, only 1 guy cashier when I went in but I had a quick fun conversation with, guy gave me a good recommendation as well was a nice plus, I'll b back when I'm thirsty ?

Oh, many workers, they all look at you and pretend they don't see.
they don't want to help you
Only the cashier was the most attentive to appeal that she is of legal age
I'm not going back to that place again.

Bruce assisted us with deciding on alcohol for our wedding. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible in helping us find the products to meet our needs. Highly recommend Bruce and Total Wine in general for everyday and special events.

Looked up what I needed online they had it in stock with the aisle location listed, simple and easy pick up 10 minutes in and out. That’s the way I like to shop, no mumbo-jumbo.

Nicely laid out store, aisles are well marked.Many deals are in the aisles and end caps, so take a look around for deals and surprise offers.Shelves are filled and deals of many kinds exist. Have a look at Larceny bourbon, large bottles for the price of a smaller one - side by side.

You can taste various types of wines at tasting time. The staffs are very knowledgeable and friendly. Of course the wines have good variety.
