Needed a dress shirt last minute. No customer service, no staff, empty and very messy fitting rooms. I do not understand how Macy's can let the brand crash. I ended up going to Target due to value and no help at macys!

Now I remember one of the many reasons I stopped shopping at Macy's. Simply punishing to shop there. I encountered the slowest sales person in the entire world. AND I think she was the only sales person at a register on the lower level which added more frustration!! I realize help is hard to find but if customers can't pay for something the hole gets bigger!! I have not been in Macy's...jeez I can't even remember the last time. I know I vowed never to shop at Macy's again bc their coupons were ridiculously hard to use. So it has been a very long time. My recommendation to Macy's corporate is the format is not working! Change it before it is too late. Train your sales person. Since you only have one it shouldn't be too expensive!

Bought my wife an 18" Tanzanite necklace at Macy's for Christmas. She wore it for about an hour and it fell off. Seems the clasp was bad. We took it back the next day they said it couldn't be fixed and the necklace could not be replaced. There were none available at any Macy's in the country. Added that they won't get any for months and the price will be considerably higher. Two days lower I look for it online. Macy's has it and yes the price is over double. J Pacheco

Horribly run store and will never shop here again. The store is a total mess, the escalators are always broken and no employees on the floor to help customers. They leave one employee all by themselves with no help in a department and it causes long lines and messy fitting rooms.

Oh, Macy's what has happened to you? Too few employees to keep the store looking good. No one to offer help in the men's section. Not greeted by anyone on any of the floors we visited.

If you're thinking of buying a kitchen appliance, mattress, linen or anything else on the top floor - you might want to think again. There were ZERO employees on the entire floor. This wasn't right before closing - it was about 7PM on a weekday and it was a total ghost town. I walked around the kitchen department for about 5 minutes and could hear a customer in the linen department periodically yelling, "Hello? Hello?" I assume they're obviously trying to cut back - seems like each floor only has one place to check out. That would be fine if there was actually an employee there but there wasn't. Apparently if you want to buy something on the top floor, you'll have to lug it down to the third floor where there's a check-stand right near the escalators. I did see a single cashier there - and about 4 people in line. I may have expected this from Sears or maybe Target - but not the most expensive store of them all. Common Macys. You can do better.

I like Macy's in general, and this is one of the stores where I really enjoy shopping in. It's a smaller Macy's store but it has everything that you need and great selection. Numerous options of clothing, shoes, bags. This Macy's is part of the Hillsdale Mall and that makes it even more enjoyable when you can shop at other stores after you're done at Macy's. I especially like the jewelry department at this Macy's. I purchased unique pieces of jewelry here that I did not see at other Macy's stores. The store is well maintained and is in good shape and I hope will remain open for many many years. I don't want retail stores to go away, they are a great asset in our lives.

What happened to this place it use to be one of the best places to shop in tbe Bay Area. The selections and designers have fallen so bad Walmart has better selections these days. No good brand names for shoes or clothes place is dirty and never anyone to help you. God forbid if your not white or privileged you get no service when the service you get is rude and racist. I was asked if I could afford to purchase my wifes necklace one time bad but not as bad as lady in the jewelry department on purpose avoiding us then saying what I don't have time for window shoppers or the cake of it all sorry sir we don't have a layaway plan please shop where you can afford. Mind you it was because I was paying cash so my wife would be surprised. Let's not forget I got run over by shoplifters that felt no pressure by security. Common macys you broke my heart

ONE....ONE person working in women's shoe department on a Sunday. Waited in line 45 minutes behind about 10 people. Whatever, I ordered shoes online, it looked like this Macy's might have the next size down bc these were too big...I'm patient, so o waited, I get to the front. Cool! They have my size...I'm out of there...nope!!!!!!! Guy tells me sorry these shoes have already been returned....uhhh no they haven't. I opened them yesterday...he's like yup! Sorry! Tells me to stand in some other line across the store. I ask him to call a manager, There is no way. He doesn't want to...there's like 15 people behind me now! Manager comes over.....dude returned my shoes...that's why they said returned. Over Macy's this was only realized AFTER the manager accused me of buying two of the same pairs of shoes and trying to return multiples as if I was running some sort of scam. And this is why I am reminded of why to only go to nordstroms...I was blown away!!!! No apology, even though they realized finally it was their mistake...redic!

My experience at Macys was wonderful. This review is SOLELY based on my experience in one of the departments inside the store which is FinishLine. When I came to look for shoes for my daughter I was greeted by no one and when someone did appear he didn't even greet me. He asked me what shoes I needed and I gave him the pair I wanted for my daughter and he left. No how was your day. No hello. Nothing of that sort. He took his time and from where I was standing I could see him on his phone while he was "getting" my shoes! I could not believe it. The short curly haired gentleman with glasses gave me my shoes and I thanked him. I got no response from him. I ended up leaving the shoes because he ended up disappearing again and didn't come out to ring me up. My husband had a similar experience with this gentleman and said the man didn't even give him the right pair of shoes. We will NEVER shop at finish line EVER again because of this man. 0/10.

If I could give it a 0, I would. We went into browse & they had no prices on any of the toys. There was a QR code next to the toy that led us to the Macy's app... which still didn't tell us the price after scanning (after scanning the bar code it said not found). When we decided to just get the toy, we tried to locate an employee to ring us up. No one was at the register near the toys. There were about 7 employees working in the vicinity. No one greeted or asked us if we needed help. One employee ignored us when we tried to ask. There were 3 employees where the jewelry was that were talking and laughing within eye sight. Another employee by the perfume with another employee told us to go and wait at an empty register. Finally we tried to yell to ask of anyone could help us since the 6 employees that were in the vicinity were all ignoring us and finally another employee from the juniors section who was doing go backs ran to help us. She was only person in the entire area that greeted or tried to help us the entire time we were there. 0/10 - I remember now why I stopped going to this store.

RALPH LAUREN/POLO SECTION SUCKS..... I needed some new shirts for a business trip. Arrived at this Macys to check out the Polo/RL clothes since that brand are the best for men in business world. Unfortunately, the Ralph Lauren clothing section was simply abysmal. Hardly any clothes on the racks. What was available was simply out of style (no Macy Shopper anymore, I suppose) but the glaring mistake was that all of the clothes was in different sections. Tommy H clothes, Calvin, etc. all hanging in the Polo section. It was impossible to shop and not a single employee on the floor to help. (They are all apparently at the perfume counters - it is the only area one can see a Macy's employee) GUYS, avoid this Macy's (and the mall since there are no men's clothiers anywhere). The City is still your best bet. Too bad. So much potential for this Macys being in the heart of the Valley and the manager has given up.

Will never shop here again or at any macys for that matter. I'm not much of a complainer and go with the flow on a lot of situations but I'm done with Macy's. Returned an item with its receipt within the return period and just got shorted about $7.00. Never got the original receipt back, cashier first put total refund onto a gift card when only a small amount was to go back on gift card the rest was to be cash back, when I questioned her about this she was clearly agitated, she got another cashier to help her and ended up doing it correctly with part on gift card and cash back for the rest. But, once I left the store and was thinking about everything that had transpired I realized the amount was totally incorrect! When I was in the store I felt like something was off but was tired already and just did not want to to deal with anything further. $7.00 was not worth going back and confronting this cashier about it but just a heads up for everyone who shops at macys. Make sure you check everything is correct before you leave the counter. There is no reason that I should not have gotten back the full amount I paid since I was within the 90 day return period and I had the receipt. Macys has definitely gone downhill and is trying everything they can to try to hang on...even cheat their customers.
