“My kids and I love Simply Fresh. It's truly one of my favorite local stores. It's the sweetest little boutique shop with unique and timeless gifts. They have cards for all occasions, cute party decorations, the most adorable little section for baby clothes, books and stuffed animals, little trinkets for arts and crafts, and an array of feminine gifts from soap bars to aprons to cook books and more. Oh, and the variety of candles are endless. I just love this store. It gives cute English cottage aesthetic, and is always playing the best music - from jazzy rifts to French ballads. I also want to note that the people working here, especially the owner, are very friendly! The layout is small but they've made the most of the space so you may not initially see them or be greeted right away, but for me as a little bit of an introvert, that was absolutely fine!”
“Loved everything in store!! I really wanted to have some cocktail napkins monogrammed as a last minute gift and they were able to accommodate a quick turn around for a rush fee. The linen napkins came out stunning and the woman helping us was so kind!!”
“From the moment you walk in to the time you leave, you feel comfortable and right at home at Hodge Podge. I have always found the most eclectic gifts there and I will forever be a customer.”
“David Orgell is synonymous with the early days of Beverly Hills - the golden age of the 1950s. Mr. Orgell himself was British and had a penchant for the finer things. When he passed in 1987 the company was sold. The Soltani family took the torch and ran with it, carrying forward the tradition of luxury, creating one of our absolute favorite boutiques of all time. It is a treasure trove of delightful gifts - relics of great beauty, exquisite detail, everything you would hope for.The store is now in the fabulous community of San Marino, and we can honestly say no matter where you live in the LA area, it is well worth your drive. Excellence, quality, beauty - these are the things that come to mind when we think of Orgell. And all those years, over a decade, of our kids growing up in front of the store on Two Rodeo. So many memories, and as someone said, the Best is Yet to Come! Long live the legendary Orgell!!”
“A beautiful store with dedicated, precise shop keepers who can help you find a gift for anyone among the treasures that include an espresso cup over $200. As cosmopolitan as the Riviera and a gift to Los Angeles.”
“One helpful thing about the store use that it was arranged by topic. If the Japanese garden was your main interest, one section was devoted to it. It made finding books on herbs vs art history very easy to find. It was also very well-stocked. The herbal book we purchased, as well as the art book, we're of high quality. The staff were also very kind.”
