HH Gold or Diamond member don't mean anything anymore. Could not accommodate connecting rooms when rooms were available.
Very dated and run down property. Sink not draining. Did not get my extra towels and extra pillows. Paid an arm and a leg and did not get my money worth

I’m extremely disappointed with the room conditions. The first room was filthy, with hair, used Q-tips on the floor, and toothpaste on the counter—overall, a terrible experience. After being moved to a new room, I lost the balcony, only to find hair on the sinks again, brown stains on the curtains, and a missing plate in the microwave. To top it off, I was charged double the deposit. This has been beyond unacceptable. Please have a manager contact me.

Weird location, in an outdated mall in a weird part of town. Service not great at all did not get my wake up call and was late. No response when I complained! The room was upgraded from 150 to 300 for a suite but it was the same room! Breakfast also is billed as great and made to order. It's not very good. Sorry Embassy suites. I am a loyal customer, but no more.....

For me the service was good and the location is not bad and the room was not bad but what I did not like is that the TV does not have internet and you cannot connect any type of HDMI and here you only have 7 days of free internet

I want to start by saying we only continue to stay here because the breakfast is awesome and the staff in the restaurant are great too.
Aside from that, I can't say anything else positive. This last visit almost put me over the edge - LOL! We've been here 5 times this year and NEVER paid for parking. Their listing shows it as free and the lot has been CLOSED for paving the last free visits. While I understand maintenance, I DO NOT understand charging me $12 to park in a lot that is CLOSED to your patrons! You advertise free parking, close your lot, and then charge an additional fee!?!?! It is insane to me and when I complained, I got the cold shoulder and a "It's a new policy." reply. Update your advertisement and tell your staff to update customers at check in. The lot was finally opening up when I left today but I took photos to show what had been closed. This is clearly a new charge to pay for the paving of the parking lot.
Also, our last visit had a slider off track so we have to shove paper in the track to keep the wind and noise from coming in the room. There was also a large leak from the condenser and one whole area of the living room had wet carpet. This visit, the shower head came loose and isn't threaded so was almost impossible to keep on. Hotel is in disrepair and should be the focus over the parking lot.

High turnover and spent! Interior of rooms need a makeover.

We stayed here for our "big" little family vacation with our 13 year old son. It was the last trip we could take as a family for the summer; we have shared custody week-for-week, so time is limited.
As service goes, WOW! They really try hard. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the beds comfortable. I run hot and am sensitive to heat, so unfortunately, being in an interior room where the door doesn't open to fresh air but the inner atrium of the "Greenhouse Grill" was a struggle for me- the staff tried their hardest to accommodate, but the AC only goes down so low and without the ability to release warm air for fresh, we needed to bother them for a box fan. Which was helpful. There's not anything anyone can do about the interior rooms, it's just how the place is built, and given the design, they do really really well to make their guests happy, myself included. If you're heat sensitive, definitely bring a fan. They DID offer to move us, but the room was not so warm my health issues would be exacerbated by it, so we stayed comfy where we were.
Their breakfast is great! They have plenty of made-to-order options, and the omelette was all fresh eggs and veggies- I was impressed. You get a lot with this place, and the staff are lovely.
My only gripe is the temperature under that greenhouse dome, not just for me but for the staff running around working in there. It gets warm. All in all though, we'll certainly be back, and this time we'll just ask for an exterior room ahead of time (again, they absolutely offered it to us and we declined which was our bad).
Excellent place to stay. Kind folks who go above and beyond. Exceptionally clean throughout the entire premises. We were happy and comfortable.

As hard as we tried, we were not able to get the room cleaned even though we left the room at 9:30 AM and later called the front desk to ask for a cleaning when we got back late that night it still had not been cleaned.

Typical embassy suites. Nice place. Included breakfast buffet. I'd certainly come stay here again.

Staff was all super friendly and helpful. The common areas were nice enough, the rooms were definitely not. Very old worn furniture. Fixtures were pretty beat up. Bathroom was the worst. Shower curtains always gross me out in hotels. Absolutely no pressure at the shower. Even the exterior of the building is super worn down looking. several Embassy Suites I’ve stayed at in recent years all got/in the process of getting recent renovations. This location is definitely ready for those too.
Rooms: Old, super outdated, and sometimes just dirty

We enjoyed our stay. We stayed on the first floor right next to the pool and had issues with noise or safety concerns. Breakfast was good, the dinner we order from the bar hamburgers, pasta, etc was not the best, so used DoorDash for other meal and that work great. Having the large atrium area was nice to use for meal, play card games, hanging out with other family staying there too.
Rooms: Our room was nice and clean, but smaller and a little outdated bathroom and furniture, based on the numerous embassy suites I’ve stayed at.
Nearby activities: Madonna Inn, Ocean/ Coastal towns about 20-30mins, downtown SLO, shopping, restaurants.
Safety: No issues observed with safety
Walkability: Lots of shops and restaurants in same parking lot/ street. Strip mall area.
Food and drinks: Breakfast and happy hour drinks included. Dinner menu available. Lots of near by restaurants in same parking lot/ street. Snacks and drinks in hotel shop. All staff were friendly and helpful.
