Dave is friendly, honest, and fast, all while having competitive pricing. I had 3 quotes for new brakes and a few different recommendations for what work to get done, but Dave was able to give me straight answers and a much more reasonable price! I will be taking in my car to him every time I have work in the future.

Dave is a delight! Very polite, helpful and dependable! Took both my cars (Toyota and Jeep) to him as they were having starting issues. He inspected the car, provided his diagnosis and estimate before repairing. His labor charges are very reasonable compared to any other garages such as Villa Automotive, Meineke car care etc.
Villa automotive is good but Dave’s Automotive is better. He owns his shop and does the repair work by himself. A dependable nice person and a good car mechanic in SLO!

Move to San Luis Obispo a couple of years ago and went to Dave's for a smog check. Have been bringing my cars here since. Dave is honest and straightforward - there've been a couple of times he hasn't charged me to look at things when I thought he should have charged me. I'd recommend him to all my friends.

Really great! Dave is honest and kind. As a woman who doesn't know too much about cars, I have never felt taken advantage of. The prices are fair and the service is amazing. Schedule maintenance checks in advance as they're very busy.I have brought in two cars for service and Dave has provided excellence service for both. I just got an oil change and the price was much cheaper than other service places and the tire rotation is included. I was told the oil change would only take 45 minutes which was accurate. Great, speedy, and quality service.
