There is no one better than Ty. I can't believe how lucky you all are to have him up in San Luis Obispo! He is masterful at finding the root of the problem and giving an extremely clear and concise treatment plan that will actually get you better. I've been to a few PTs in the LA area and none of them took a detailed incoming assessment of strength disparities etc. How do they even know where to start with that kind of laziness? Ty does the upfront assessment, takes meticulous notes and helps you see your improvement in an objective way as you progress through treatment. Ty is a super-pro, top notch, incredible PT and, bonus, funny! The best.

Ty and Julie and their whole team are absolutely wonderful! When the world seemed to be against me they listened to me and my injury and helped me with my recovery! Both their knowledge is unfounded, I wish I had had more time to pick their brains. They are such a delight!

I have nothing but gratitude for Ty and Julie McSorley at Aspire Physical Therapy. I have repeatedly accumulated injuries over the past three years from sports and from life as an online student. I have brought knee, ankle, hip, and shoulder issues to Aspire and every time, Ty has welcomed me, informed me, and helped me get back to a normal active life.Ty’s knowledge of anatomy and function is astounding and I would strongly recommend Aspire to anyone in need of a physical therapist.

HIPAA Violation; Unhelpful Front Office Staff We were referred to Aspire by our PCP at Family & Industrial Medical. We are cash-paying patients who pay in full on the day of treatment and then mail our medical bills and records to our medical bill sharing plan for reimbursement. The staff person at Aspire made an appointment for my husband and then told us that she could not provide us with medical bills or records. When I questioned this, she simply responded "We don't do that." I again tried to explain how our plan worked and that we simply need a typical copy of the records, sometimes referred to as a 'patient ledger', a 'detailed itemized bill' or as a standard CMS1450, UB-04 or a CMS1500. She again stated that they do not provide those to patients and then told us: "Perhaps you should find another therapist." We were completely flabbergasted by her attitude. We have had this plan for years and have never had an issue with receiving treatment, including orthopedic surgery. Most providers love this system as it allows them to be paid in full, immediately, with no additional paperwork for their staff. We left the office with the appointment intact, and once home, I called our plan administrators to explain the issue. Several phone calls were exchanged both with our plan and the Aspire office. The front desk staffer at Aspire on two of those calls again told me to find another therapy office. When on the third call, I said that refusing to provide a patient with their medical bills is a violation of the law, she blithely responded, "I've never heard of that law." She told me she would 'research it' and get back to me. Needless to say, a week later, I haven't heard from her, nor do I expect to. I will be reporting their office for HIPAA violations to the appropriate authorities in California.

Ty McSorely is simply exceptional at every kind of physical injury you can imagine. I first met Ty in 2013 when I was nearly wheelchair bound due to issues with my back and considering surgery. A friend insisted that I meet with Ty before proceeding with surgical options. When I met with Ty he said within a few minutes he would be able to tell me if he could help me and, if he could, that I would be feeling some measure of relief before I left his office. Well, he was able to help me and now, seven years later, I can run and jump and do things I never imagined I would be able to do again. Recently I tore my rotator cuff and now Ty, after just a few weeks, has got my shoulder back to about 80%. In all the time I’ve spent in his office, I have seen him help dozens and dozens of people with all kinds of physical ailments. His knowledge of the human body is absolutely incredible!
