Gerry saved my ____ - you know what years ago. My car broke down. I didn’t have any money. This was 10 years ago and he worked with me and The insurance company which finally came through. They have my car for almost 5 months but the insurance company didn’t want to accept my claim? but Jerry convinced them and got me the best used engine that lasted until I sold the car... His people are honest They work hard he gives you a good price for what you get.. this is the honest God‘s truth because of Gerry and what he did for me I was able to build my life back up. I know it sounds dramatic, but it is God‘s truth. What made me remember Gerry in his team is that my friends car broke down in San Leandro… I live in Spain recommended her to him last week. Now, I wanted to remember him in the best way I can. There’s some people that help you at the right time and make all the difference that’s the linchpin for you. My friend it She said he did her so right, a single mom. Thanks again, Gerry, I really appreciate it.

The staff at Champion Automotive are kind, empathetic and responsive. Their work is prompt with the job and in getting the supplies to complete your order. I trust them as well as I trusted their dad (Jerry) before he retired! Few mechanics earn trust as Champion Auto mechanics has earned.

I took my 2005 Ford into Champion Auto in San Leandro earlier this year for an overhaul -- the car needed brakes, power, steering and was making a weirdly rumbling sound. The car had been sitting unused for several months and needed a lot of care. I went in and said, "there's a lot wrong. Can you fix it?" And they did. I went back a second time to have air conditioning fixed. The people at Champion Auto handled it all. Repairs were done in a timely manner and the cost was within the estimate window they gave me. This is the small town, do-it-all-mechanic I've been looking for.

After someone recommended this shop, I took a used Prius 2006 to them for a repurchase check. Jason checked the car himself. I doubt he even bothered to put it up on the rack. If he did, he would have seen clearly the weld on the catalytic converter, obvious even though there is a shield. It's welded at the lower end and it's quite visible, indicating this is not the cat converter that belongs on this car. Jason passed this used car for purchase. Eleven months later I learn from a mechanic the cat converter is not the one supposed to be on this car and now it needs replacement, it's causing a check engine light. This is a $3500 job! Jason blew it! You could have warned me 11 months ago to say No, and PASS on this car. Do not buy this car. This is costing me thousands now! Thousands! You gave a shitty prepurchase check. What did you even look for? I say: Do not patronize this shop -- they do the least possible work, and they cannot be trusted. Either lazy or just plain careless! DON'T give them your money or time.

It was an absolute pleasure having my vehicle repaired by Jason and the rest of the Champion Automotive team. They are very communicative with the service status and ETA for the work completion when several issues were determined after the initial diagnosis. Overall, pricing and workmanship are phenomenal from this small garage.

These guys are the best. Friendly, honest, affordable. Started using them when I had an error light on a car I just purchased (didn't even charge me). Have taken my classic car to them, treated it like it was their own. When doing work will even show the damaged part to you (try getting that service from an "offical" service center).Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Stolen catalytic converter, I brought the replacement part and thought it would require custom welding to fit and they said, "No problem, this bolts right in, I'm busy -- no, pull it in, I'll do it right now," and they did!Great service, fast, friendly, affordable - I'll be back!

I was driving on the freeway and I heard something happen to my left front tire. It started to make an aggressive noise and I had to quickly pull off at the nearest exit. I mapped the closest mechanic and Champion Automotive came up. I pulled in while feeling pretty frantic on what this newfound problem would cost and with my minimal knowledge of cars I didn't want to be taken advantage of. One of the mechanics stopped what they were doing and walked over to help me. Quickly let me know the problem was my alignment had gotten so bad that it tore up one of my tires and that I was safe to drive home but needed to get my alignment fixed and 2 new tires. He didn't try to sell me on anything or lie to me. He simply gave me free knowledge and let me use it how I willed. That was some of the best customer service I have ever received and I truly am grateful.
