Owner sold us wrong hardware and then refused refund. Sold a bunch of extra knowingly Double the price of other hardware stores such as Pete's ace hardware. Really bad experience.

Beware Typical bait and switch. They stated they had our item over the phone and in person it's not the correct item. In person something else was suggested and at a higher price. They did not state no return policy, it turns out only store credit.

I can't remember ever wanting to get out of a business faster than I wanted to leave this ACE. It is very messy, I could hardly walk through the aisles, and discarded products were haphazardly left on the floors. It is an accident waiting to happen, with numerous tripping hazards in very tight spaces. They do not seem to have a system for getting rid of old inventory or even tidying up new messes as they arise. Overall it gives the appearance of a business that has stopped caring about the quality of the experience or product they offer. I would recommend ACE in Castro Valley or OSH in San Leandro, it would be worth the extra drive.

Tried this local place again, out of necessity, despite past bad experience regarding the return policy and unexplainable rude attitude of the owner for simple questions.Went back there today, same experience. Nothing's changed. Wanted to support a local business but not worth it, given the rudeness and 3X prices.
