“I visited this store for the first time in 2021 and changed completely my running experience. From the shoe fitting, to the very good advice on pros/cons of each shoe.I came back last weekend to buy new running shoes. It was time to retire the old ones and I would not trust my running shoes to any other store! Also: very dog friendly store ?”

“The owner, Vu, is extremely knowledgable and friendly. He is hard working and his wife helps alongside him. It's increasingly rare to find an authentic owner/operator tennis shop that really knows the game and the equipment. Hearing Vu's story of success was inspiring and it's great to see a local business doing well. I would encourage you to visit Vu's shop and support your community by spending locally.”

“Best batting cages in the Bay Area! Front desk is very friendly and is really helpful. There is a nice little retail store inside thats perfect for just baseball/softball equipment & apparel. The all-u-can-hit deal was perfect for me and my group. We hung out for over a couple hours and just rotated through and took turns. Super smooth! We will be back for sure!”

“Knowledgeable and nice baseball enthusiasts who have great selection of mits, bats, balls, uniforms, and even equipped to replace mits for cheap. Very nice to have a shop like this to utilize in place of large sporting goods stores. This is a cool local shop.”

“I rarely post reviews in public but Bullseye Bishop definitely deserves one. It’s my favorite and default local gun store. They’re also one of very few LGS that accept walk-in PPT in any time. Several staff I’ve worked with are all friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Special thanks to Nick who spent quite a while today sharing his experiences and useful info on a C&R rifle I picked up today.”

“Nice shop with great customer care. Had holes drilled in 3 different balls at different days and very pleased with results. Try the coffee shop on your waynout or as you wait for your bowling ball. Great food!”

“Go here before you buy online! This is the last paintball shop in the Bay Area because Sol is THAT good. Sol's expertise and helpfulness is unmatched. He won't try to upsell you or anything like that. He'll fill your air tank, and then wait for the air to cool down, and then top it off so you get the maximum fill! I came in with a paintball gun I hadn't shot in over a decade and he aired it up and looked it over for me. The website is currently not helpful, so I'd recommend calling to see if you are checking to see if something is in stock or not (it probably is). Sol's prices are equivalent to what you'd pay online, if not a bit cheaper. Support your local paint shop!”

“Explored around here during the Obon Festival with a friend around 5 pm! The place has so much Japanese wear from footwear, yukatas for men and women, and so much more. I was impressed to all the beautiful colors and patterns on their traditional wear. Spacious store that contains so much culture and history! The store was run by some sweet elderly women who gave us a mini history lesson!”

“Clothing and equipment co-op (membership optional) for outdoor recreation pursuits with a service department for bikes and skis. Camping, backpacking, climbing, running, and hiking are all well-represented here.Next door is a large space for "regear," which is REI's version of reselling used goods that have been returned. Selection varies as does condition, so check carefully for damage before buying.”

“How is it even possible that I have failed to write a review for this place until now? This is the BEST. STORE. EVER. The manager/owner is amazing, the operation is smooth, and the stock is fantastic. To be clear, yes, this store does sell military surplus items. But it is so much more than that. They sell all kinds of work clothes, boots, sweats, shoes, jackets - tightly packed aisles filled with all kinds of things that any blue-color or labor-oriented worker would need, and at really good prices too. The store is worth visiting just for that! That section takes up the main part of the main room - but then there's a kind of "second area" off of one side, almost as large, and just as packed with items. Here you'll find military-style bags, backpacks, BDU style pants, shirts, and field coats, along with raincoats, parkas, and every other kind of clothing you could imagine. They've got military style bedding, blankets, ropes, and related equipment. Then they've got "normal" backpacks, a large selection of camping gear, and assortment of always fresh MREs from different suppliers, camping food and - on one end-cap, a VERY nice selection of cast iron cookware! Here's a sample of how the manager rolls:Me, coming in, recognizing him: Hello! Nice to see you!Him, remembering me: How have you been! How is your kid? (remembered my kid, and that they were at college). Hey, we just got a new shipment of field coats in from several countries! (remembered that my addictive purchase there is M65-style field coats).Me: Thank you!Me, later, coming out with a huge armload that I could barely carry: "Sorry, just came to pick up one or two things."Him, with a grin and without missing a beat, "Well then you need to buy some more!"That says a lot! When you stop to think about it, working in the customer service industry is never easy. You have to deal with all kinds of cranky, confused, problematic people. I see people like that in the store sometimes. Yet the staff is always patient, always kind, and always super-helpful. They are clearly like a family there, and you feel that welcoming feeling when you walk in.... when you're not being overwhelmed by the huge variety of products. Here's a tip: Some things, especially around Halloween, are not returnable. Don't think you're going to go in there, and "rent" yourself a costume and then return it. That's not a right thing to do in any event, and you shouldn't expect it of anyone. If you're buying something, try it on there BEFORE you buy it - they've got fitting rooms - and if you're not sure, ask about the return policy for that particular item. It will save everyone stress later. This is literally my favorite retail store of all time. I am in there from time to time and I always spend far too much money there. But the quality, the selection, and the prices are all excellent, beaten only by the customer service, and, really, what more can you ask?I encourage everyone with interest to visit this store. You will absolutely love it!”

“Danny delivers again! The man is straight up a man of his word. I can do business with him on just a handshake. I needed a better way to store my accessories and Danny came up with a solution so I can roll my table leafs out of the way of my man cave cabinets. One week later he has it dropped shipped directly to my home. This relationship has fueled my man cave aspiration's but oh so sweet! Thank you sharks pool tables!”

“Cashier was nice and helpful. Adidas socks were cheaper here than sports basement and I got a discount as a member of a soccer team. I bought a Nike ball for my son and it was the same price as amazon. They had everything my son needed”

“Look at the directions posted in the 2nd and 3rd photo. It's 2 buildings behind the one in the street. This place does not have retail frontage that one might expect. But definitely a place for buying and repair your wet grinders”

“The customer experience for me has been nothing but great every time I went to games. Yes, they do charge a $10 shipping fee but that is nothing to lose sleep over. It's nice they ship at a faster rate as well. Some of the merch is questionable but overall not bad.”

“I'm very impressed. They have jackets and shirts and pants and even some shoes but mainly bag, bags, and more bags. They have a wall full of Kanken bags in every color, it looks like a giant watercolor palette.I picked out the bag I wanted, the Raven 28, in a few minutes and then looked at all the other little bags they have - they have a lot!Prices are .... well I'd say it's Santana Row but the prices are the same as they are online. And Fjallraven is "buy it for life" stuff.Service was tip-top and the people working there were very pleasant. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.”

“I recently visited the Bass Pro Shops in San Jose and was genuinely impressed with the vast selection of outdoor gear and the overall ambiance of the store. The store layout is thoughtful, allowing for easy navigation through different sections - whether you’re looking for fishing equipment, camping gear, or even outdoor clothing. The staff deserves special mention for their knowledge and willingness to help. They were friendly and gave expert advice on various products, which made my shopping experience much more straightforward. Additionally, the store’s cleanliness and organization were top-notch, making it a pleasant environment to shop in.One of the highlights was the impressive display of boats and the extensive range of fishing gear. It’s a one-stop-shop for any fishing enthusiast. Also, the taxidermy displays and the large aquarium added a unique touch, making it more than just a shopping trip but an experience. However, there were a few downsides. The prices were slightly on the higher side compared to some other outdoor retailers. While the quality of the products justifies the cost, it might be a bit steep for budget-conscious shoppers. Also, during peak hours, the store seemed understaffed, leading to longer waiting times for assistance. In conclusion, the Bass Pro Shops in San Jose is a fantastic destination for outdoor enthusiasts. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in pricing and staffing, the overall experience is delightful and worth a visit. I give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to friends and family looking for quality outdoor gear and a unique shopping experience.”

“Lululemon is kind of like that friend who you take a hefty time to know and appreciate. I came here once in 2017 and again now. It's truly a very awesome store that sells good clothes for all sorts of exercise. They seemed to step up their game from the first time I arrived. The people who work here are very sweet and friendly. I know a few people who work here and they try their best to give top of the line service to customers. The clothes I bought here are of the best materials and for me real well. You may see the prices are super steep but you are paying for the top quality. I would come here if I could to get a new yoga mat but that would have to wait another time. I am still not at the level to spend so much Singapore dollars on one. Note: to get the best fit, you might as well spend more than 30 minutes in the store, anything you find in less than that time is just sheer luck.”

“Clean, as far as big 5s go. Staff was very friendly. Found more than I was looking for, but isn't that usually the case when shopping at this store? Fair prices too. I had a really good experience at this one.”

“Man this location always blows my mind. Always superior service at this location. I walked today in the afternoon to return some shoes I had purchased for my mother online due to wrong sizing. Danny is the man here! I walked in already dreading waiting in that huge line to make a possible exchange or get a refund. So I like around to see if any associate was available, to my surprise Danny was super welcoming and ready to help me. Man when I say he made the whole exchange and refund super easy, he delivered! A1 customer service. I walked out within 10 minutes tops. I'm so happy I came to this location let alone, interacted with such an amazing individual working at an amazing company. I've been in customer service for 10+ years, and this guy exceeded this. Thank you Danny once again brotha! God bless.”

“Thank you Famous Footwear!!! I came here to get a pair of comfy loafers. But the line was outrageously long a week before Christmas. I decided to try it on and shop online. I found exactly the same style but different color on Amazon at $12 cheaper. I got it quicker than coming back to shop again.”
