Worst Shell location, pumps are not working and lagging, card readers don't work on half of them, staff are careless. Unfortunately there are not much Shell locations around, I really really hope this station will get renewed or at least fixed.

Person who fill propane tanks is not qualified for the job. I filled 2 tanks and both tanks are over filled and starting to leaks gas. They need to train their personnel to be certified in order to take this job

As many other people I found myself in a need of a car wash I came across this shell station and bought the higher priced wash. It left my car dirty still so I asked the teller to let me get another go at it and she told me she couldn’t do that, i told her she just lost a costumer and walked out and started to dry out my dirty and a gentleman customer walked out and said she’s asking you to come back in the store she wants to talk to you. What kind of employee lets a costumer do her dirty work for them I’m never coming back to this location gas or otherwise

Best place ever to take your car or truck! We had a laundry list of issues with our truck and they gave us amazing service and quality work! I love this place and will never take my vehicles any where else. Highly recommend for any vehicle you have!

Went in there this morning to ask about replacing a brake light. Though they were very busy, they accommodated my request and I left in about 12 minutes, problem solved! I'll be happy to patronize this business again.

De Anza Auto, at the crossroads of San Jose, Cupertino, and Saratoga, is a great value in Silicon Valley. Owned and operated by "Sarge" and his brothers, it has a neighborhood feel to it. If you need a quick repair, Sargon will try to work you in. He's always been very honest and knowledgeable...and specializes in foreign cars. And he's kept my 2000 Ford Explorer on the road, too! I was referred to Sarge by one of his competitors...that says a lot, as well.

I live close by and have used this repair shop many times. From flat tires, oil change, and any difficult work beyond mileage based maintenance. Never a disappointment. Honest quality service with a smile for men or women of all ages.

Just had my alternator and belts replaced at De Anza Auto. They did a great job and resolved my "emergency" quickly. Without an appointment on a weekend nonetheless. Fair price and quick service. Hard to beat that combination. Also had an oil change while I was there and they can use synthetic oil if you request it. (Extra charge for synthetic of course)

Had a great experience. The owner went above and beyond on my car. He initially quoted me to fix my oil housing gasket, but ended up doing much more at no additional charge.

Very professional and honest! Can be rare traits when dealing with smaller auto shops. Not a problem here!

Before I get into the details, my parents used to have their vehicles serviced by Saratoga Shell (when it was Bud Root Shell). Bud and his team were awesome....now, sub-par work under the new management and the shop is a disaster. Took my 2008 GTI in for work twice....wish I had done it myself (yes, i'm also an ex-shop foreman from a 5-Star dealer in TX). (1) Timing Belt Replacement: $1500 (labor + parts) - everything was fine until the first time I stepped on the accelerator to see how things are performing. Boost from the turbo started out at 17psi but fell down to 6psi almost every time. Hmmm.... it was late so I just pulled it into the garage and took a look. Lower intercooler pipe not seated properly, upper "anti-noise pipe" not seated properly - boost leaks. Minor issue and a quick fix in the garage. We all make mistakes (we're human), and this could have just been a small oversight.....but wait..... (2) Went back to them to have a Stage-II Clutch installed (aftermarket) and this turned out to be a (almost) disaster and "newbie" mistakes. Lower transmission mount wasn't tightened down so the bolt fell out on Lawrence Expressway on the drive home from work. This caused the engine to violently shake back and forth - breaking the upper transmission mount. Took it back that evening to show the tech. He installed another bolt but used the wrong one and seriously overtightened it with his 1/2: impact (you don't do that on torque-to-yield bolts...at all!). Drove it home to wait for the mount (ordered for the next day). Dropped it off the next day and picked it up in the afternoon. New mount installed....but noticed some VERY strange grinding noises coming from the engine compartment. Took a peek at home.... * Over-torqued upper engine mount bolts - broken and the mount was sitting crooked * Over-torqued upper transmission mount bolts - thankfully had a new set of bolts from VW and installed to the proper torque. * Wife stated there was a strange gear noise while driving as well. (I noticed it too) - 2qts low of Transmission gear oil (it holds 3.3qts) If anyone thinks about using the DeAnza automotive shop at the Saratoga Shell....think twice! While the tech seems to know his stuff, the overuse of air impacts and lack of paying attention to detail definitely is a problem. Yes, I took pictures of everything but am not going to file any complaints....recommendations and word of mouth are far better to communicate the issues than some lawsuit or long, drawn out court case. Do NOT use them.... poor quality of work.

Tried to ask a few questions over the phone but guy at the shop just jumped in and started talking nonstop about what he thought the problem was. He didn't understand what I was trying to explain to him and he wouldn't stop talking to listen. Finally he hung up on me. Very rude and unprofessional!
