An amazing resource for both people living with mental illness and their family and friends who are supporting them. The warm line and support groups make living with an invisible illness easier.

NAMI Santa Clara County has provided me tools and support for managing my bipolar 2 disorder. In addition, NAMI has helped my family understand my illness and the importance of taking care of themselves while supporting me. The Santa Clara NAMI is one of the largest in the state and offers a wealth of resources. Highly recommended!

What great potential and great resources they have and then they put so many in the wrong places skipping the people who really need their help but don't have all the assistance to find the resources needed.

Learning adventures in San Jose..... :0) I have worked as a Peer Pal w/ NAMI like twice and also giving presentations for Good Samaritan Hospital in the outpatient behavioral health leg of the program. No pun intended! I was also invited to work in a pilot program, which I assume has launched, that is similar to the Peer Pal program it's associated with Kaiser Permanente San Jose. I declined as I had other opportunities going on at the moment. Overall I had a great time going to meetings, discussing clients needs, planning outings all over the Bay Area and if they ever have a full time opportunity open I will not hesitate to be a part of the team again! _Enso+-Non profit.Multiple language Edu.Warm line.Close knit.Faith net. _National Alliance On Mental Illness: mission and values to provide support and advocacy.
