Excellent food service for the homeless who are trying something new or who got stuck in that area for a brief while... It is indeed a catholic service so it's oiled up like a steam punk ship's spin wheel, on a first come first served basis of course.

I enjoy volunteering here in my spare time, mostly because they forgo the bureaucratic process that I've experienced with other organizations (paying for your own background test, fingerprint check, etc). It's very easy to sign up for a shift, it only takes a few minutes! It can be a little disorganized in the sense that they don't line up the tasks for you to do, but there's always something for everyone. Just make sure to ask the person in charge. I've volunteered on days with only one other volunteer and days where there's several others, but there's always something. From preparing food to serving lunch to bagging sandwiches, it's always good to volunteer your time to someone in need. The parking lot is a bit crowded, so whenever I have to get out I usually reverse all the way or just park on the street of the residential neighborhood nearby & walk.

Thursday breakfast at 8am was eggs, sausage, waffles, and coffee was fulfilling. You can get up to four servings.

I came to ask for a sandwich in the milk, I'm an unhoused citizen and supposedly they feed the homeless. They didn't give me a sandwich and they turn me away with a bad attitude and the lady who's in charge smell like drugs and look under the influence and was very very mean and upset with a kind sweet gentleman we just wanted a sandwich in the milk.

This establishment in Willow Glen provides essential nutrition services for the most vulnerable population in Silicon Valley. It is a rewarding experience to work with this dedicated team to make sandwiches and provide other important services. Most of all, Martha's Kitchen provides a flexible schedule for those of us working during the week. It is also ideal for students or other members of the community wishing to volunteer.

I went to Martha's Kitchen in San Jose. I was told I couldn't get food. It was only for the Mexicans, and I'm not Mexican. When did Martha's Kitchen become a racial establishment?

Found out about this place when I could not leave food donations for 2nd harvest. Didn't know it was available and I highly recommend lending a hand here
