My goto store for eastern European food. Especially when I have nostalgia. They have not as big a variety of food as Samovar in Palo Alto, but they're still very good.

This store is one of my favorite stores to stock up on Eastern European goodies. The store is clean and fully stocked with fresh items (I know expiration dates can be an issue at some of these stores). What sets them apart is their extensive beverage offering, their deli counter, freshly baked cakes (yay for Medovik) and their prepared items such as Olivier, chebureki, galuptsi (cabbage rolls) although they don't give you the sauce, and of course piroshki. The folks working there are courteous and helpful and will gladly suggest and explain the different meats. No tastings at the deli, unfortunately. Prices for regular goods are comparable to nearby stores but their prepared dishes tend to be a bit on the higher side. Other than that, this place is great and will likely have what your heart desires.

If you have half an hour to wait for one person before you slicing her meats and cheese you could shop here. Otherwise, try to find the products you need somewhere else. I hope I’ll never return. I just don’t have time for it.

Bought some sausages, snacks, and drinks here. The store has a variety of Russian or Eastern Europe foods that are rare in the Bay Area but of good quality. A good place to visit to widen the taste. And price is very reasonable. Recommend the rice cakes sold here.

My go-to place for Russian food and desserts. The selection of prepared meals is also good so a great location to stop for a quick meal. All right let's be honest, the cakes are out of this world! Thank you to everyone at Kalinka for your great service.

I have been coming to shop here for years. Prices are agreeable, service is good. It's a small Eastern European shop with a good variety of ethnic foods.

Not sure why the girl with the two face piercings asked the guy BEHIND me if he wanted help KNOWING I was there for 13 F****** minutes WAITING in line behind the lady getting her meats sliced. So tell me why you ignored me, the second person in line and literally started to check out the man behind me? I legit would like an explanation from Kalinka staff as to why I was standing IN LINE for 13 minutes and you still ignored me and literally checked out everyone before me? Check your cameras and tell me why. I'm F****** pissed. Oh legit been going there for years and never had I had such f****** blatant disrespect. Explain yourselves.

I served on a mission trip to Ukraine this year. When I returned to the United States, I searched for a store nearby that sold Ukrainian food. This store has everything I needed! There’s shuba salad, borscht, paska, pirohi and even chocolates such as ROSHEN Chocolate Candy "Evening Kyiv" Ukrainian Gift Box. What’s more, the young man who works here is amazing! He goes out if his way to make you feel welcome every time you step into the store. I can’t wait to return.

If you are looking for Russian food, there is no better place. I lived there for 20 years and every once in a while, I need some salo, for example
