I recently came down with a chest and nasal infection while out of the state. When I got back I tried to set up a phone appointment 4 days in a row and never received a call back. When I called for 5th time I was told that the records I was called but did I did not answer my phone. I went to the emergency department because I felt it was my only option. So far everyone has been great here but I wish it would not have come to this. I pay a lot for my medical insurance and had hoped Kaiser would do a better job. When I mentioned not getting a phone call back to the doctors and nurses they did not seem surprised?

This is the worst place ever! I'm in the ER with my son who is in chronic pain and they can careless! The waiting area is empty and these nurses are walking around like a bunch of sloths!! Im observing the way they are interacting with patients and they show no compassion of care at all.

absolutely the most trash ER ever, literally have doctors sitting around typing in staff rooms while ER rooms are full with people with concussions, broken hands, etc. Literally incompetent, don't be a health care provider if you don't want to PROVIDE HEALTH CARE. Useless human beings.

Came on early thinking I was going to beat the rush and long lines, I was wrong, lol. It seamed like everyone and their mother was here. Well, take a deep breath and Yelp while your number is called, lol. Medical team here was friendly and helpful in getting our lab needs done. Thank you for being gentle.

DH was referred to Kaiser San Jose for a procedure not available in the East Bay. A hassle to say the least. But we were more than satisfied with our interactions with all personnel ... doctor, nurses, etc. Prompt follow-up to clarify a question we had after discharge.

So. The pharmacy screws up continuously. Doctors do not respond to patient. And now, the morons at the optical lab replaced a pair of prescription sunglasses with clear lenses. How does one hospital manage to demonstrate such a high degree of incompetency. Kaiser is packed with illiterates and run by kleptocrats. I guess the new CEO is the biggest idiot of the bunch. I've heard horrible things from Kaiser doctors in other facilities. They report staffing issues but not this level of thievery and incompetence among the section heads. There are very few doctors here who seem to care any more. It's probably time to shut it down.

I used to highly recommend Kaiser. For the last 2 to 3 years I've noticed a big change in the way patients are treated. I now have to plead for most procedures that are needed. Even a simple EKG was hard to get. It took me 3 years to finally get one. I'm in my 70s and felt if was important. When I was in my 40s they often gave me one as part of a physical when I didn't feel I needed one. Now, when I get a physical, they don't give me one and when I ask, they ignore me. Also the amount of time on hold when I call is very long. It used to be a short wait time, not anymore. One of my family members has had a difficult time after her surgery and they don't seem to try to help her. I recommend that if you want good care, don't choose Kaiser. They are now overcrowded and short-staffed.

Getting an appointment in dermatology at Kaiser San Jose has become impossible! After waiting a month to be seen for a new chronic skin condition, today's appointment was canceled a few hours prior and I was told I couldn't get another appointment for 5 weeks! This on top of 2-3 month delays for doctor-ordered 6 month return appointments for other skin conditions for both my husband and me. A full month of appointments are full within days of being released. And no one can tell you when the next release date is! I was told today that they have had an influx of people going back to the doctor after COVID vaccines. Then hire more doctors! Because clearly, we are not getting the service we pay for!! I have filed a formal complaint and my next step will be to contact the San Jose Mercury News. Giving two stars because I have a wonderful dermatologist...if I can ever get in with her!

My father in law needed an EKG. We were able to check in really fast. They checked temperatures and made us hand sanitize and wait a couple mins then EKG tech came to get him. Procedure took less than five minutes. Very respectful technician.

Worst system ever. A loved one requires major surgery and you have to travel two hours from home (we live in a city with a Kaiser hospital) I can't wait to get out of this system. If I must travel and pay for lodging then you SOBs should pay for it.

My name is Dung Nguyen, my MRN .....My phone number is 1-4085208947 I really really disappointed about your OB doctor Ms. Annamalai treat me yesterday. I keep telling her I am really really hurt my back and around my butt, every morning I get up and I can not standing for 15minutes. My legs are shaking and I am dizzy everyday. I asked if I could leave my work 2 months before my due day or can I off my work for about few weeks to see if it would be get better. She said she has the rule and she can not do anything. She said she only let me out off work when something is happening to me. If that happened who is the one responsibility for myself and the baby. I'm not try to off work to get any benefit from Kaiser, but I can not handle my work when I'm really really hurt, why they did not understand it. They keep saying I have to work until 4 weeks before due day. And when I asked for the letter to show I'm pregnant and my due day is 07/15/2019. The doctor, the nurse and the secretary stated that too early to give me that paper???? What wrong with all the staffs, I'm pregnant 25 weeks, it's not too early cause I need the paper to let my boss know I'm pregnant for 6 months now. They did not want to help me at all. Why I have to paid for my health Insuarance and they did not want to help me??? It's very bad service I feel regret now cause I choose Kaiser Sent from my iPhone

Would give them negative stars if I could. Waited in the lobby for an HOUR even after complaining to them 3 times! Mind you I had my 2 year old daughter with me who is not so patient. Went in for a check up for some chest pain and had to bring my toddler with me that day, so I was hoping it was in and out for my check up. My appointment time was 11:50am. Checked in at 11:40am. Sat and waited 20 mins went by... 30 minutes hit, then I asked the nurses who were sitting behind the counter, they said ok we will paige them... 45 minutes went by and I went to the receptionist and she said the doctor is probably really busy and working through her lunch break too, 1 hour hit, finally a nurse comes out to get me and my screaming daughter and says "I thought you were already seen."... rushes to get my weight and blood pressure then throws me and my daughter in the doctors office. Doctor said "I was waiting for you for the longest time, I waited so long I was going to head to my meeting." Gives me a 5 minute check up very rushly asking me whats wrong and clicking all the blood test and xrays you can think of on the computer to assign me.... changing my doctor that is for sure... the only reason I keep kaiser is because it is so close to home.

Had a bad experience waiting for the nurse to come see me. Sat in the lobby for an hour until I complained to front desk only then he called the nurse.

Dr Doan-Trang , Shirley MD kept me waiting for 45 minutes, granted I showed up 30 minutes prior before, and when I asked the staff what's going on, all they told me was that she was slammed and backed up and came in late. I don't care if she came in late, you have a job to do, you have priorities that takes place when you sign up to be a doctor. My recommendation would be not to use this doctor. She is flaky and won't even acknowledged that she is late.
